The Coutinho transfer was absurd.

It was the perfect storm for them. Barca had just had their nose massively put out of joint by PSG actually having the audacity to meet Neymar's absurd buy-out clause - and he decided to go. Barca felt they needed to make a statement to prove they were still top dogs and saw a Brazilian they fancied. Perfectly for Liverpool it was a brazilian who didn't fit in to their managers system. £130m euros later Liverpool had signed Allison and Van Dijk and won the two biggest trophies going

well, that had been coming. as easy as you like for liverpool. We keep clearing the ball but cant get out of our half

Nelsen is then in but chooses not to shoot.

The sad thing for me when we play these best teams is we never really even get close to them, never make it uncomfortable for them. But nearly every other prem side has at least once in the last 3 years given them a rough ride or really made them sweat or work for their goals and victory

Zhaka is struggling with Liverpool's speed. We can't get any hold in midfield. They can't get the ball to Pépé and Nelson looks out of his depth. It's games like this where we are crying out for a physical enforcer in midfield.

this is pretty embarrassing how we cant even move the ball out of our own half. Liverpool press high, we pass it short from goal kicks - we need to change it up because the last 15 minutes I don't think we've even touched the ball in their half

It is a real eye opener in the lack of physicality, pace, athleticism and mobility in the team. Every single Liverpool player is better than his Arsenal opponent

ah the benefit of being champions, Liverpool with a big appeal for hand ball, ref was never going to give it until he succumbed to all the appeals

Of course not. It wasn’t an Arsenal player doing the fouling.

liverpool getting the rub of the green all year, and us getting whatever the opposite is. How many points is that worth do we think over a season or two?

it was studs up but wasn't on the knee. Still annoying to not even see these things reviewed by VAR. We've been sent off for less though

I think it was

Edit

It wasn’t. Just above the ankle.

Again no consistency and VAR was supposed to improve that

Brings to mind the old Revie Leeds teams. They could kill a match stone dead by minimising the playing time left in a game.

We seem to be making time stand still, this is truly atrocious

This is not even playing football.

So frustrating that that tackle by Xhaka gets the same punishment as Trent on Saka.

Xhaka slides along the floor, wins the ball but with his studs facing horizontal rather than the turf. Trent is halfway up the shin of Saka, doesn't win the ball.

Given what we've had red cards for it could easily be a red

and why isn't that a yellow card, Origi throws himself to the ground wanting afree kicka dn just grabs the ball. Deliberate handball is a yellow card

It’s like watching paint dry as duff player after duff player comes off our bench to come on.

Yup thought that, the grading given by refs to similar tackles needs serious looking at. The first one you get away with, last knockings no one cares etc. It's total bollocks
