Nice sunny day today in NZ so I decide to mow the lawns .

Go out to my home built garden shed ... unlike Cannon's bird feeder from yesteryear everything is plum .. which means vertical / horizontal for all you office wallahs ; not the fruit .

I haul out the lawnmower ; while topping up the petrol I happen to look at the enormous comfrey patch .

Jesus H ... there is a green shield bug convention in progress ...about fifty of these grubby little f***^%% just enjoying the sunshine while sticking their liitle hyperdermic mouthparts into the plant and sucking out it's life juices .
I hate parasites in all forms .

:7laughter: Ahhh we'll soon change that ... the lawnmowing gets put on hold .

Into the shed ; get an oil can 2 parts automatic transmission fluid , 1 part kerosene , 1 part mineral turpentine . ..shake it up

Out I come .. seat myself in a garden chair ... Splat Splat Splat Splat ....... Scuttling . trying to fly , turning belly up ...... the panic among these liitle tossers is magic .

Like Thierry Henry going through a Liverpool defence https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5x3r9o

I tell you retirement is wonderful .

WARNING ........ don't do this on any plant you eventually hope to eat .

The ball boy in the Man City vs West Ham game interfered with a live ball but he didn't realize it. Felt badly for him.

If City are deemed ineligible for the CL next season after appeals, not sure if we have enough in us to get to 5th. Our GD is atrocious. If not us, I'm cheering for the Blades to get in.

Weren't you complaining about fluoride in the water not so long ago?

Where has the eco warrior in you gone Pete??

Btw, my partner's daughter and her partner are currently traversing your country in a station wagon type car. They love it.

But I'll tell them to pass on the comfrey.

:laughing7: that mixture is probably more eco friendly than most of the sh***t Monsanto markets as safe Johnny Boy .

Tell your friends to either carry their camera , wallet , any valuables with them ....... or at least hide them out of sight in their car .

We have plenty of low lifes in this country who target known tourist spots ; ready to steal anything of value .

Right now I'd take a scoring draw. Deep down I think we can win.

Don’t know if anyone has seen an initiative Roma started 2 transfer windows ago? Every time they announce a new signing they post a picture of a missing child/person with equal weighting to the signing. It has had some success as some of these kids have been found.

They are urging other clubs to pick up on this. When you think of the clicks or views a new signing for a big club has it is a great opportunity to do something like this. Would be great if Arsenal did this as well.

Brilliant to see Jose in full Jose mode. Trying to create a ‘poor us, poor me’ excuse. He’s talking about going to a gun fight without bullets because of his ‘crippling’ injury crisis, which really amounts to Son and Kane as far as I can see. Important players, but only 2 players in a squad of 25. Let’s also remember Leipzig we’re without their two first choice CB last night!
Pochettino spent a long time slowly removing the inferiority complex for spurs, he got them to a position where they played with confidence and zero respect for whoever they played, believing they can get a result against anyone. In a few months Jose has wiped most of that away and bought in the underdog mentality, how can little spurs be expected to compete against the big teams in the prem and the big teams in Europe. So glad we didn’t go near this guy for our manager

Yes he reminded me in no uncertain terms to keep an eye on the PHP sessions table as it has a tendency to crash.

I’ve been quite impressed so far. Olympiakos were always going to come flying out of the blocks. We survived that and have gradually exerted control. Just need to build on that.

I'm watching a stop start stream so I've resorted to Talksport 2. Goalless is ok at this stage, strongly fancy us to do them at home.

Could have easily been two nil down in the first five minutes , our passing going forward is fairly woeful , Guendouzi getting a bit of a buffeting .Luiz nearly scored for them , Lacazette should really have scored for us .

Saka doing the clever stuff ; f**&&^%# up the easy stuff .

Needs a goal either way to lift the game . Arteta half time inspirational chat and we win 1 - 0

Can’t help think that playing the 2 strikers together away from home doesn’t make sense.

A game crying out for Pépé and Martinelli hasn’t been great

Er. Not quite going to plan so far after the break. Sloppy.

Great stop by Leno (even if Ba was given offside).

More sloppy stuff preceded it though. Plus the unnecessary yellow

Aubameyang is having an absolute shocker . We can't hold the ball for more than five seconds .

Yes. That’ll do nicely.

Super skills by Aubameyang and Saka.

And almost another (twice) from the corner. Mustafi looks in trouble though.

Excellent result away in Europe. Looked solid for the most part. Certainly effective.

Hard to get excited about that match , if you are one who is buoyed soley by results alone then it was indeed excellent ; the entertainment levels along the way though were pretty dire .

My expectations have been managed downwards over a long period.

I’m just pleased right now that we no longer look like a joke team giving away daft comedy goals on a regular basis. It looks like a move in the right direction.

Excellent result away from home in a tough place to go. Olympiacos may be no great shakes but away from home with the long travel and a passionate home crowd I think most teams would happily take that result back home in the first leg.

The goal was brilliant. Aubameyang doing so well to keep it in and under control, Saka still bombing on in support and an inch perfect ball across for Lacazette.

We have been raving about Martinelli as an amazing find for a £6m 18 year old signing, but Saka is right up there. Tie him down to that contract.

That's it. Not a particularly good performance but Arteta has cut out the "shooting ourselves in the foot" performances. Long way to go but we look like an organised team at last.

I’d be fascinated to see how Saka handled a game in the number 10 position, he has speed, weight of pass and goals. The best academy player since Ashley Cole surely
