Bellerin is like a volleyboard ..... everytime he gets the ball he passes it straight back . Two guys who set Europe alight Pépé and Aubameyang look very ordinary I'd swap them both for Son Heung - min .

:laughing7: I know how to pick em ..... all three pull their fingers out and start producing

That would be the ‘very ordinary’ Aubameyang that just opened the scoring then? :42laughter:

Change of pattern from recent matches. We’ve tended to come racing out of the blocks and then fade away to a tepid second half. Today, so far, it’s rather the reverse.

Takes fewer fouls for arsenal to get a yellow card than any team in the prem

Based on this display, its safe to say we are going to be top 4, and win the FA and Europa cups. Up the Arsenal.

Ha ha. Thanks to their keeper. Improves Özil’s stats for the season.

Just a short time ago that he played left back as an emergency measure with Tierney and Kola both crocked. I'd say he's number one now.

And it's 3 with a gift from their keeper. :58big-emoticons:

6 minutes added time. Where on earth has that come from? We have games we’re desperate to win, loads of time wasting and get 3 mins.

Time to take timekeeping away from the officials.

In the city v spurs game, when they pulled the game back for the coty pen there had been something like 2.5 mins of play whilst var looked at it, then there were the arguments about the pen, then when the pen was missed we had another var review for a potential trip on sterling. I think someone showed that whole incident took 4.5-5mins and there was only 1-2 mins added on at the end of the half.

Nice assist by Pépé. Lacazette gets a goal.

Simple, elegant pass from Willock to set that up. Lacazette needed that goal very badly for obvious reasons.

Right foot shot onto his left foot as they’ve just shown. Who cares though. We’ll take it.

That’s a goal and 2 assists for Pépé. If we can get the right players around him he will be a star for us.

Ceballos made a real difference also

Ceballos had his best game since early in the season.

:12hello-bye: Great win but what does annoy me slightly Brom .... when we do stop the poxy sideways / back passes " let's look super cool and f** around " style of play .... we look like we could score at anytime . With the right application we could have scored seven .

Let's not over egg the pudding though Newcastle didn't have a lot to offer .

They were poor Kiwi, nevertheless a four goal win is not to be sniffed at. They were sat deep behind the ball and are one of those teams who can make anyone look bad. Once we made the breakthrough the whole game changed.

The mobility of the team in the second half, is what we have missed for too long. Good job!

Arteta “After the break we started saying we had to start closing the gap on the top teams and turn draws into wins. Today was the first opportunity and we’ve done it. All good.

"I'm so pleased for Lacazette [Alexandra Lacazette] – the reaction of the players and staff towards him. He fights hard for everyone. He’s been unlucky. He will gain confidence from this and knows how everyone appreciates him.

"Bukayo Saka is doing really well. He keeps his head down and wants to learn. He's peforming like a senior player.

"Dani Ceballos is a good example. He was injured and when he started to train I didn’t think he was fit enough. He completely changed his behaviour and trained like an animal. I thought he was the best player on the pitch."

Didn’t watch but from what I’ve read it seemed clear the tempo and quickness of passing increased drastically in the 2nd half.
Pleased with the win, only our 7th this season. A very welcome confidence boost for many.
Saka is unbelievable, going under the media radar hugely. When you see the media fawn over some of the young English players at Chelsea and spurs and here we have a left winger being forced to take his first steps in senior football at left back and he’s still influencing games and getting goals and assists and certainly hasn’t let anyone down defensively. Let’s see Mason Mount play left back, Hudson-Odoi at right back, Winks at Centre-back. Perhaps the media haven’t quite realised Bukayo Saka is English!
Lots of good performances. Really interesting how Arteta has bought back Xhaka, Mustafi and got them playing well. If he wants rid of both at least he’s putting them properly in the shop window. Torriera has generally been back in his proper position, Guendouzi has dropped down the order. Nketiah welcomes back in from loan and trusted. Özil starting every game, Arteta has made a lot of changes already.

I think with a few more goals and assists and Pépé will start realising his potential, realising that with a bit more confidence he can be one of the main men in the team. He beats men for fun but doesn’t seem to always run at them. He loses the ball a lot but so did Sanchez. We need that wildcard player, and every fan will put up with more turnovers in possession if he is producing goals and assists.
