How much does Emery get paid?

We've got a half dozen old boys that could do better with these players.

I say get rid :36angers:

every time we go to man u they are there for the taking, they are an awful awful team but we go in to our shell every time. we play too conservatively but yet still don't close down space, press the ball or have anything like a decent defensive shape.
Lacking creativity massively

Two very mediocre sides.

I don't know about £70m, Pépé looks ike £7m player.

Just poor, we look like we don't think we can win against a really average United side.

Put Ceballos and Willock on, inject some energy.

That is the worst of it. Instead of being like wolves after sheep knowing we can have fresh meat we are tentative.

Pépé certainly hasn’t lit things up yet but I do feel sorry for him coming in to such a disorganised team. Does anyone really know their role?

Emery is too conservative. He has regressed so much.

Really piss poor first half. Pépé particularly awful. No creativity. Midfield is poor only Guendouzi showing any impetus.

I hope its not going to be one of those matches where we play decently enough but end up losing..

Man Utd look ordinary as hell.

It totally depresses me that Xhaka is so certain to start every game. I don't care what Emery sees or wants from the structure of his team, just watch the games. He adds nothing to our structure or attacking game because we are nowhere near threatening enough and he is a toal liability at protecting the back 4. Lee Dixon did a piece on a programme called The Boot Room where he absolutely takes apart the midfield structure of Arsenal - it was woeful.

Willock has to be starting.

As from our next league game Tierney, bellerin, Holding need to start every game. We've had nothing from our full-backs in over a year

So you have Torreira moving around the box rather than Özil or willock

Just stupid mentalism

Good VAR decision, but how did the lino flag it in the first place? He was miles onside.

Linesman too anxious to catch an offside.

Shocking decision to flag him offside. Also linesmen are told to keep it down if they’re not sure. He was at least 2 yards onside. A classic old Trafford decision that has gone against us and many other teams for years. Var rightly serves justice

All strikers take note - don’t stop if you think you’re offside; stick it in the net and cross your fingers.

VAR would have shown Rooney's dive to end our run of games

And to all defenders, don't stop defending

Back in it now. Need to fight tooth and nail for the win, it doesn't have to be pretty.

What's was he moaning about? Was the whistle blown for offside before the ball crossed the line? The comms said something but I missed it all.

He’s claimed the whistle had been blown so VAR shouldn’t have been used.

I think.

Get Pépé off.

He’s been a passenger all game.

He needs to get his *%^@ sorted - that ball was unacceptable.

Sorry Brom.

Pépé is struggling. Perhaps the weight of the price-tag.

Maybe, but if he’s going to be world class, he needs to get his head sorted pretty quick.

If he doesn’t, he isn’t going to set the footballing world alight.
