Oh, so that is how it works.

AMN bidding for man of the match.

Lucky with the offside call.

Good competitive game since the second goal, tie on a knife edge.
Need to keep up the disciplined defending all over the park - Čech hasn't been called into action yet.

Good first half but I am concerned with the referee. He appears to be buying into the Rennes players acting. I am concerned that we could up with a red & then we know what happens when we play with 10. Seems as if any touch on them is a foul & he has failed to punish a number of fouls on our players.

Some great performances so far & must make a special mention of M-N.

Agree Gaz he's a bit of a worry. Think there's some drama to come.

Yep Aubameyang is offside. I think the lino got fooled because the arsenal player who was miles offside didn’t go for the ball, everyone stopped and Aubameyang ran on and got it. Lino was probably distracted by whoever it was who was miles off. Lucky break that we needed

My comms mentioned he’s from Latvia and we’re concerned how much big game experience he had. Players are manipulating him.

I always get worried when I see a ref sprint over to a player to issue him with a yellow like he did to Lacazette. Why sprint, just be calm give the free kick and the yellow, sprinting over just pours petrol on the small cinders of a fire

The game has descended into a foul fest. We need to get a grip on midfield again. It's very precarious at the moment.

Game has become so stop start. Rennes overplaying any touch or foul, desperate for a red card

Not pleasant watching is it?

Horrible feeling that there will be an incendiary incident.

This is getting very hairy. Under far too much pressure at the moment. Would like to see Emery change something - Mkhitaryan and Iwobi getting ready by the look of things.

Rennes knocking on the door. Özil and Lacazette hooked. Both had a poor game.

I agree we need some changes but would have been both Ramsey & Özil for me to come off. Ramsay is misplacing passes all over the place. Need that 3rd and 4th goal. And then we get number 3

While Mustafi remains on the pitch Rennes are in with a chance.

What was the goal celebration all about. Given he earned a totally unnecessary booking I have no idea why he wanted to look like an armed robber. Maybe it was a deep message like the ref is robbing us and I want people to know

Great result, got the early goals and kept it tight at the back.

Made heavy weather of the tie but we're there.

Is there a rule that you get booked for wearing a mask in celebration? If there is then can you get booked for those over eleborate handshake routines some players do?

Also if this is a rule, why is it a rule? Why is the taking your shirt off = yellow still a rule.

Utter nonsense and sucking the joy out of football
