Managers of small teams talk about big sides getting all the decisions but that is nonsense for teams that come to the emirates and want to ‘get in our faces’. Refs in this country need to wake up and start properly clamping down on deliberate aggressive fouling tactics

Huddersfield player fouled an arsenal man and the ref gave him a yellow but in the seconds after the foul another Huddersfield’s player saw it as a chance to put one in on Guendouzi- a free hit effectielvely - more than deserving of a yellow but ref hasn’t got a clue.

This needs stamping out of the game.

But we are allowing ourselves to get rattled. Almost conceded there. Where's the leadership?

We've now conceded 2 yellow for diving too.

Unlucky Torreira. Now Mustafi gets a yellow for diving and we've lost two centre backs for the next game. Ffs.

If I was Emery I’d consider subbing some of the players on yellows. I can see somebody walking in the second half

Mustafi now booked for diving. Missing both our Cb for the next game.

I have honestly never seen a ref so quick to pull out a yellow card for arsenal players. It is like he knows he’s under pressure to produce yellows for the continual fouling of Huddersfield so somehow feels like he needs to level things up and give yellows to arsenal for any indescrition.

Ref has totally lost control of that game and ruined a half of football. Not seen him have one of our games before. Not good enough for the top league if he can’t control a game

Awful again. Lacazette pounces on a back pass and scores. Lino gave him offside but it was surely a second phase of play as the defender had won it and had plenty of time to clear it and messed it up. Lino has bailed the defender out. Really poor again from the officials

Absolutely shocking officiating.

I’ve never seen a ref so quick for the card on those two diving cases, especially orally xhaka’s where the intent to foul was coming from behind.
Lichsteiner rightly kicked off at a bad foul. Professional footballers know what is going on and they know when the ref is weak, Huddersfield were being allowed to kick whatever they wanted and it needed an arsenal player to have a go at him.

Need to keep our heads here, still plenty of time to win this. Should be 3-0 up bar two bad misses and a shocking decision from the ref. Need a bit more creativity, I'd put Iwobi or Mkhitaryan on.

Definitely. Lichsteiner seems somewhat hot under collar. And Xhaka for Ramsey (is he on the bench?)

I agree the officiating is poor but both dives looked blatant and Lichtsteiner shouldn't have got involved. We're not helping ourselves here.

Absolute joke that we have more yellow cards than they do.

No Ramsey is injured but Iwobi is. I really hope he does this because the ref has lost the game

I wish the crowd would get more of the refs back.
Only in this country can the team trying to play to the rules and actually play football be the far more punished in the game. Far too often clogging tactics and time wasting are tolerated and punishment only fished out for the protests.
And people wonder why England hasn’t produced any technicLly gifted players for a generation, they aren’t allowed to flourish in the league with the leniency of our refs. Don’t get me started on consistency either. In the eyes of refs in our league consistency means levelling our the yellow cards irrespective of the severity of offences.

All four of our cards were very unprofessional. Why Xhaka does that when he's in such a good position ... :36angers:

What a terrible referee, clearly anti-Arsenal.

Lacazette's goal should stand. The pass was from a defender.

Xhaka with 2 consecutive poor passes, from which they could have scored. Come on Captain, you need to do much better.

Bring in more midfielders, we need more fluency.

Not clear whether mustafi was clipped in the box when he was booked for diving. But based on what Son got a pen for last week I am expecting plenty of pundits to view this one as a clear pen and bad ref mistake.

There has really only been one bad bad foul in the game, which was the one on Torreira. Plenty of nightly fouls. But for there to be 7 yellow cards shows you how much control the ref had.

2nd half, he’s going to keep this up and someone is going off or he realises he’s been a compete tool and goes the other way and let’s everything go!

Ffs how many fouls is depoitre allowed before he’s carded. Just because he’s a lumbering CF shouldn’t matter

Aubameyang is played clean through and flagged offside. He is level.

Another bad bad call from the officials

The officiating is awful, and is affecting the outcome of the game.

And probably the next one thanks to the suspensions

Ref spots the obvious time wasting and warns them rather than a yellow card. What is the point in spotting a yellow card offence and not giving the card.

Because it would have been a second yellow?

Aubameyang free header from a corner wide. Nothing going for us today. With proper officials we lead the game though

I wish our full backs would sometimes just smash it at goal when they get in behind. Always looking for the cut back when they can even see the whites of the his eyes.

How have Huddersfield still got 11 men?

Arsenalhavent been great but we haven’t been allowed to get any rhythm due to the continuous fouling. If that’s what Huddersfield want to do that is fine but the ref has to punish it. Early yellow cards kill off a huge part of a high press.
