Nelson was a sub today, came on and scored (again) within 2 mins.
I wonder if we might be tempted to bring him back in Jan?

This guy Foyth for spurs is a walking disaster. Has made 3 big mistakes already. Spurs are very lucky zaha isn’t playing because he would roast him all night and that match up would be a certain penalty

Currently watching Palace vs Tottenham and it seems like pretty much every PL match I watch its raining. Some the rain comes harder than others but I wonder what percentage of matches it doesn't rain? My guess is less than 40 percent or it seems like it.

A question I'm sure we've all asked.
Interesting point though AG that 'some the rain comes harder than others'.

I’m not quite sure how spurs keep scrapping out these away victories. Other than away to Man U I can’t think of where spurs have actually played well. They are putting the wins on the board. I expect them to beat most teams at home but you need them to drop points away from home

Palace should have equalised, just seems to shoot everything straight at Lloris. Frustrating when you see how palace played against us

If we bring him back to just sit on the bench, then no. If we bring him back and he gets regular minutes off the bench and start once in a while, then yes. Right now, where he is, is great for his confidence and developement. We don't need him....yet.

Has anybody watched one of his games? here is he playing is he getting good service or doing it himself. Love to hear whether you think he could fit into our team and keep his scoring run going.

I hope Eddie get's a chance before he returns otherwise I can see him being unsettled and looking for a similar move or even a move away.

Are we able to? I've no idea what the agreement with Hoffenheim was but I think there have been loan deals where the parent club, in Nelson's case Arsenal, doesn't have the freedom to recall the player on loan before the expiry of the loan contract.

Charlie Austin had quite a rant in his post match interview. I just wish the interviewers would call players and managers out on their one sided views. Austin raged about a goal that should have been given - it was a mistake, but just before Watford had a cast iron penalty not given which would have likely bought the score back to 1-1 and left Saints with 10 men for the remainder of the game. Austin was just allowed to have a rant at the ref without any challenge that his team had a potentially even more favourable decision go their way moments before.

That has been the case before, and upon reflection it is probably the best thing for the player to stay there the whole season. He's had to make quite an upheaval to his life moving his family out there. He's not starting every game so could still be said to trying to fully establish himself in the team despite his goals and impact.

Can't wait for the ref analysis's tat will back the ref for a correct decision. It's not exactly the same situation as ours against Liverpool but will I am sure goes on to prove that the off side law needs retuning.

In my opinion the ref was fooled by the offside player moving his head back which from the referees viewpoint would have looked a close call and would have led him to believe that the player was in the line of fire. Who wouldn't have called it interfering with play?

More evidence that VAR is needed.

Alexis....lol
https://www.givemesport.com/1415059-ale ... LvCDwbAkIA

according to a recent report in The Times, Sanchez's agent, Fernando Felicevich, has been in contact with Paris Saint-Germain over a possible move.
But the report is a lot more significant than just a transfer rumour.
They claim that Alexis is “Lonely, bored and ignored” at Old Trafford.
They say that only David de Gea, Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku have a relationship with Alexis, with other teammates believing that Sanchez hasn’t done enough to improve his English.

Yeah, I see no point in calling him back. Let him establish himself at Hoffenheim and continue his development. At Arsenal he would get a smaller role, and surely the whole point of loaning him out was so that he could play more?

Few rumours linking us to Mata on a free in the summer. He worked with Emery at Valencia. Makes sense, we’ll lose ramsey so need something but with our limited budget most should probably be spent in defence

More calls for Var. Fulham very very close called offside. Liverpool first goal offside but not called.

Var needed..................

Chelsea 0-0 everton, 72 mins and Pickford is booked for time wasting. When has an opposition gk ever been booked that early in a game against us?

I sense that that lineup is going to start really clicking.
No reason why we shouldn't get out of the blocks early with that lot. 5-0 with a Lacazette hattrick.

It will be interesting how we play against the wing back formation. We were poor against Leicester when they played this formation, taking until the second half to figure it out and up the tempo.
Wolves have mourinho and neves in the centre of the park, both great technicians and great on the ball.....if they are given time. Neither is quick or mobile so they need to be hassled hard and fast. Wolves look to them to control the play and spread it wide to the wing backs.

That all comes out by the slow start, we’ve just been passing it round at the back with no tempo. Wolves are on the back of 3 straight defeats, we need to play on that not give them confidence by letting them ease themselves in to the game.
Awful startyet again to a game. This is a bloody home game against a promoted side. Wake up

Not one pass has been progressive

I find it so strange that Emery always talks about tempo and pace and I can’t recall anything other than the Liverpool game where we’ve started a match with any. Why can’t the message get across.

Leno with a great double save. Should be 2-0

Aubameyang not tracking back at all and its causing us problems down our left.

This is as bad as we’ve been all season. So so poor. No pressure on the ball, so easy for wolves to get in to our final third. We can’t stop the ball out wide. We are struggling to get any of our forward players in the game, every pass is sideways or backwards.

Wolves probably only have 25% of the ball but there is only one team in it. It is purely down to lack or effort and concentration.

Wolves using the right wing back as Leicester used their left wing back against us. It is far too easy an out ball every time, one pass from wolves and they make 60 yards down the pitch.
We are so slow and laborious it is always 11 men behind and wolves can just jog back in to position
