You should go for a quiet pint around Twickenham after a game mate :laughing7:

However yes I see your point more morons follow football for some reason. The rules to rugby must be too complex for them or something :laughing7:

I have been to Twickenham ... England v Scotland ...after the match the Scots terraces were awash with empty Johnny Walker , Glenffidich bottles and Newcastle Brown Ale cans ......plenty of legless Jocks , Scotland lost ... a volatile mix yet not a hint of trouble .

Yes you're right ... rugby rules understood by only those of superior intellect :icon_mrgreen:

Great performances by Ramsey and Özil but my goodness not many teams would let them do their bidding like that. Not much talent in this competition

The build up to Ramsey's heel flick goal was vintage Wenger era Arsenal. No more than a touch or two the last 3 or 4 passes. We should have scored at least 2 or 3 more goals.

CSKA played the same back 3 tonight as when Arsenal played them in 2006

Mrs Kiwi tells me there is only twelve hours difference , so I click on at twenty past eight and find we've already played 68 minutes 4 -1 up .

So I miss all the good stuff . :blob8:

Moscow looked very poor .

What disappoints me in the segment I watched is given the measure of control we pass backwards so often , take the foot of the gas and don't score a couple more .

Puzzled as usual Arsene's logic ; Lacazette needing a confidence boost gets substituted so denied the possibility of a hat trick :icon_scratch: :icon_scratch: looked far from happy about the whole deal .

8 degrees which is hardly tropical and all those Russkis dancing around with their shirts off , plenty of anti freeze in the shape of vodka I guess .

Managed to watch part of the game this afternoon. Ramsay put himself out in the marketplace after this game. If he does not want to stay under Wenger then I expect there will be a few callers to the club.

On the other hand Wilshire, who once had a go at Sanchez about misplaced passes, demonstrated that even against an ordinary team he lacks that killer pass or sometimes even an obvious pass. Yes he is good at 5 metre sideway passes to team mates who are in no better position but he is simply not good enough. let him go. Withdraw any offer we have made- we need to buy for this position.

So can I clarify that you are incapable of actually looking at the internet to sort out time zones. Does your wife get a carers pension because she bloody deserves it.

At your age I would have thought you would understand to never trust a woman.

If a 4-1 scoreline first leg, doesn't give fans a lot of confidence they will go through, it speaks volumes of the club. Didn't we almost blow a great win from a first leg tie not too long ago?

Arsenal and the EPL has changed Özil's game and made him a much more durable player. He's tougher. He doesn't sit around with raised hands for 5 minutes after a hard tackle any longer. He learned what other foreigners have who have come to the league with sublime skills and played in leagues where the referees coddled you a bit and that is you either toughen up or don't and be far less effective.

He's attacking more as well. Not just being a provider but getting into scoring positions, making runs to be on the end of a pass instead of the front end.

He's even a wee bit more vocal. The Özil that came to us is a whole different Özil today. Yes, he needs to be consistently better. He can still be accused of hiding a bit in matches here and there but overall, he's improved.

I just can't see us losing 3-0 in Moscow so to all intents and purposes we're through. CSKA did cause us plenty of problems in creating chances but the standard of their finishing makes Danny Welbeck look like Gerd Muller. On the evidence of last night it would take about ten years for them to score three and defensively they look as bad as us, maybe even worse. I actually fancy us to win the Europa League as worse teams than Arsenal have beaten better teams than Atletico Madrid countless times. Just got a feeling we'll do it.

Starting to think likewise. Athletico are good but in a one off game with Wengers future at stake I wouldn't be surprised if we won. Then it's goodbye Ramsey and Wilshere and hello another 1-3 years of Arsene.

No ... being the super Cool Hand Luke sort of guy I just like to let the little woman feel she is contributing ... she reminds me the cricket is on , the Warriors / Roosters are playing today / tomorrow makes her feel good when I politely thank her .

Now I know damn well for you full blown red necked Aussies in sun baked North Queensland such niceties don't exist ...

The only conversation you have with the wife runs along these lines

....... ' cause me and the boys feel like wetting the whistle .

Pick up some dog tucker while you're at it .

Wilshere is off form at the moment. Needs a rest I guess.

Imo you're being a bit unfair to Jack. Anybody playing second string to Ramsey would have looked weak in comparison.

An outrageous slur on me and my countryman. We never use the term ‘wetting the whistle’. What about my throat is as parched as a dying dingos scrotum. Sounds to me like you went to many Australian BBQ’s.

Alex I had a great first half yesterday but faded in the second. Great result for Utd hopefully they'll have other things on their minds when they play us on the 29th.

Here's a multiple choice (well, two possible answers) question for you. I'm on the train to Finsbury Park for the game. As is normal, plenty of the passengers have Arsenal scarves, jackets, hats and shirts on. They all:

(a) Look really excited, talking about the game, disussing possible results and so on.

Or:

(b) Look bored stiff or that they'd rather be elsewhere.

Whenever he makes wholesale changes we screw up:

33Cech
24Bellerín
21Chambers
20Mustafi
31Kolasinac
35El Neny
29Xhaka
17Iwobi
61Nelson
23Welbeck
14Aubameyang
Substitutes
9Lacazette
10Wilshere
11Özil
16Holding
18Monreal
54Macey
62Nketiah

Ramsey and Özil play there best games in ages and are rewarded with a rest.

All the more reason for Southampton to go for it.....

That’s a nasty rake down Nielsen’s calf. Shouldn’t matter that it’s 90 seconds in to the game that should be a yellow

I really hate those 1-2’s we play on the edge of the box that are planned as a 1-2 from miles off and no matter what the defensive set up and number of players in the way we are still going to try the 1-2. They are never even close to coming off

Utter embarrassment yet again FFS

Mustafi just letting Long run from miles to get in front of him and poke it Home. First time Southampton have pretty much touched he ball.

When will this season end. Wenger’s teams will ALWAYS make these mistakes.

Good grief. How bad a goal is that to concede. For decades we were known as a team that were expert in defending. No longer.

Long’s 2nd goal in 48 games. Was it ever in doubt today?

Meanwhile arsenal just pass pass pass. So boring

After playing for so long, they still don't seem to understand each other. Time and time again the midfielders has to point out to strikers on where they expected them to run to. What does Wenger coach the team on? Does he even see how disconnected we look at the front? Ball stops going forward as soon as it gets close to their penalty area. Side passes, back passes, more relaying to each other, boring boring boring!

The defending for the first goal sums up wenger. There will be absolutely no repriscussions and no improvement. How do we know, because if there were these mistakes would be cut out
