Theo nearly cost us a goal. He has again failed to follow an attacking midfielder. Smith was allowed to run unabated into our box. He was running back to defend a lot today, but one careless lapse is all it takes. Come on Theo, stop dreaming on the pitch.

Ridiculous decision, I don't know how redknapp could think that's a penalty

Monreal however has looked poor this season though. Really poor

Arsenal lacking in spark again, but undoubtedly the ref takes a lot of credit for Bournmouth. A lot of poor decisions...the penalty was a massive game changer obviously, but I was more irritated by him booking Mustafi for dissent, when it was really a fairly mild protest - compared with Arter ...not yet booked despite screaming at the ref several times and a couple of seriously dodgy tackles.

Jones isn't so much a look at me type like Mike Dean. He's just old fashioned incompetent like Lee Mason. About half the refs we have at the moment are good but the other half are just out of their depth.

Video technology would have us 5-10 points better off a season, and it can't come soon enough

Awful call again from the ref. Shoulder to shoulder with two players, ox is simply stronger and just because the Bournemouth player goes down he gives them a free kick

Cross aside he's been poor this season and hasn't even been good in this game either. Can you not see it

Unfortunately I do agree. I thinkj he's trying to do too much. There was an incident about 10-15 mins ago and there he was smack in the middle of the pitch. He should stay in his patch and widen the game.

Bournemouth want another pen for handball. Kicked at him from 2 yards, hits his hand but you can't give them, didn't move his hand towards the ball and had no time to react.

Ox with another nearly game, don't think he gave Monreal enough protection at all today though. Sanchez has been doing more work wide left than ox

Massive save from Čech

Was getting worried with the amount of corners they were having and they nearly made one count. Long way to go yet

I thought he put in a much better performance than his normal headless chicken games

Elneny is a close second today. Full of energy and great off the ball running

Absolutely, I was just about to post about him. Stamina levels are unreal, constant chasing and closing down. So important because it sets the tempo for everyone else

Sufficient time for an Alexis hattrick?

job done. Bournemouth were decent, but given a major leg up by the ref. Čech with a very important save at 2-1. I'm sure Howe will say they deserved a point but we were totally dominant in the second half

Decent side Bournmouth - clearly very well coached.

Ake was excellent for them - another Chav on loan.

Nice interview from our MOTM Alexis. Clearly infectious personality.

This match feels like had it been away we'd have drawn at best. Not sure if we could have turned it on and avoided a second goal otherwise. I'll take the 3 points thank you.

Ox played much better. Remains to be seen if he can do that against a top 5 or 6 club. The midfield played well despite the Cherries congested midfield and packed everyone in.

Soton will be a much sterner test. Not much rest, I assume Giroud will start. Hoping Debuchy isn't too injured. Theo had an ice pack on his right knee/shin. Hope its not bad.

Bit concerning to see Walcott with an ice pack on his shin and to see giroud down at full time. Debuchy went off injured and suddenly the treatment room is getting a bit too full for a busy time of year

Yep, very impressed with him today. I think I've seen him play full back and holding midfield before. Shame he's with chelsea.

A gap has built between us and Spurs. Long may it stay that way.
