What a chance for Saka. The kid is great but he needs to improve his finishing - far too close to the GK. Got to score those

Good effort Saka. I got excited there for a moment , especially since it was against Fabianski.

You must know that any ex-player always has a storming game against us, and any previous rubbishness is forgotten for the day.

ps: fabiankski is a decent gk though

Great position and a terrible cross from Chambers. We need goals get Cédric on instead.

He is. And he’s already got his flap out of the way.

We need to start our most energetic players in this sort of game. Smith Rowe for one.

Has Aubameyang done anything of note yet?

Very frustrating. Compare to Antonio. A payer with half his talent but is making things happen by doing some very basic striker stuff that you're taught at a young age. pin the defender, run the channels etc

Pépé or Martinelli will do better than Aubameyang

Aubameyang needs to start showing why he gets paid as much as he does, and why he’s captain.

He’s been anonymous

Cédric for Chambers

Pépé for Aubameyang

Not just down to him though is it. It’s another of those team sleepwalking matches.

If we'd gotten a second goal before half time it would be a real game, now they have a chance to regroup. Really hard to see us getting anything from this.

Its like they've played the first half in David Luiz intensity mode with the exception of Ødegaard.

Did anyone tell the players the game kicked off at 3pm?

Good grief, what a steaming pile of horse manure.

Schoolboy stuff to switch-off like that but even so Leno has to save it.

Give Emile Smith Rowe and Martinelli a go ffs! Can they really do any worse.

Ødegaard our best player and he's not even ours.

What have I missed here? The Lacazette goal is an own goal. Looked good in real time.

Its weird how switched off everyone was for the free kick for the 2nd goal. That looks like a mentally exhausted team.

The thing with Aubameyang is that he is our best finisher but in games like this he really is too often a passenger. It’s like playing with 10 men. He’s certainly not alone but if you took away the name and just judged him as a left winger in these sorts of games even compared to relatively limited wingers he not close. Doesn’t protect the full back, doesn’t link play, doesn’t work hard, doesn’t get involved in anything physical, doesn’t dribble at his man.

Smith rowe or martinelli on for sure.

I’d echo those that said earlier that we’ve gone from totally relying on him to quite easily being able to see a future without him

Looked a brilliant finish but it was actually a brilliant touch and turn but the shot was going wide and got a deflection.

No it isn’t. But he’s the captain (maybe that doesn’t mean much these days), and should be setting a better example surely?

Simply shouldn’t ever happen. Needs to be more organisation and professionalism. Every free kick in our half should have one of our players racing to stand over it to stop it being taken quickly.

By the way though, the free kick wasn’t taken from the right place and there was a clear advantage in taking it from where they did.

Let's see how brave Arteta is. Who comes in for the 2nd half? Who gets off.

That's definitely a problem this season, as great as Aubameyang has been for us since he arrived. Lacazette contributes a lot more to our overall play, so did someone like Giroud. You take the 25-goal scorer over them any day of the week, but when that guy isn't scoring...

If we have to break down a defence or we know there’s going to be space in behind to hit, that’s his wheelhouse. Otherwise, even putting the defensive work ti one side, it’s the lack of presence in any other attacking capacity that kills us.

We've got a fully fit squad. There is no excuse for exhaustion of any sort. Sloppy, starting from the team selection. We're at our best when we have two proper winger playing with either Lacazette or Aubameyang. And we have Smith Rowe, Martinelli, and Pépé are raring to go. So why change that? Why Chambers when we have two better and in form right backs?

Bright start to the game from us, this is how we need to play to neutralize West Ham. Question, why is the match clock at 50 minutes already?

If fans say ‘if he’d gone down there he would have got a penalty’ then refs and var need to step in and make sure fouls are given even if players don’t go down. Salah and Kane go down and get a penalty and red card there

Graphic on Sky Sports showing he made 4 sprints in the whole of the first half.

Where’s his through ball ? Defence and midfield chasing shadows

After a while the comments become pathetic
