What's there to protest? Clear yellow card, Smith.

Time for some subs? Seems like an ideal game to give VIeira, Nketiah and Smith-Rowe some proper minutes

I thought Xhaka had scored.
Didn't realise it was Saliba until a few seconds later.
Delighted for him.
What a strike.
Come on Arteta.
Make some changes.
Get Eddie Emile Smith Rowe and views on.
Keep the whole squad involved.
Can't burn these players out.

Literally relying on television pixels to tell of it’s a goal or not. Absurd sport

There is a song being sung throughout the grounds that I can't make heads or tails out of. I assume its sung by our fans since we are winning, but it resembles the old 50s (or was it 60s?) song 'Tequila' and they seem to replace with Saliba possibly? Not sure.

So, with Ødegaard scoring two today, Saka has actually been the worst attacking player in our starting eleven so far this season...didn't see that coming!

Bournemouth are going straight down again, aren't they? We haven't even been playing that well in the second half, never needed to get out of second gear.

Can’t fault that. Superb start

Only thing I’d say is I do think we need another winger from that game, saka may need a rest more often and I’m not sure we have a natural player to refresh that position.

See you at Fulham next week, my first game this season

That'll be a game to win. Already know who will be Man of the Match, Leno played today.

Man City style domination first half. Exhilarating stuff but tempered a bit by the fact that Bourmouth looked really poor with zero cutting edge.

Could and should have been 5 or more. I am not sure if it was the pitch but players seemed unable to strike the ball with the degree of precision they would have wanted when through on goal.

Some fine performances throughout the team. Obviously Jesus and Ødegaard and Zinny were topclass today.

Bit worried by Ramsdale, he's turned into Mr Flappy.

Seriously though

Wtf were city not only thinking selling Gabriel Jesus but more so playing Foden as a false 9 so much last season. In no way does that make sense in any way.

Pep is an arrogant coach but wtf is it with Spanish managers and their obsession to play false 9 strikers

William Saliba's game by numbers vs. Bournemouth:

100% pass accuracy
100% shot accuracy
100% long ball accuracy
83 touches
75 passes completed
5x possession won
2 clearances
2 tackles
2 interceptions
2 duels won
1 shot
1 goal

For his age he’s remarkable. Rival teams must be looking on with huge envy. And just when you come to terms with how good a defender he is he pops up and fades one across the gk in the top corner with his weak foot.

Arteta on if the transfer policy changes with the good start:

“That doesn’t change. We know we are short, we have to add more firepower and we can do it.”

… yeah like I said just now. Winger

When you see the prices going or quoted for players it makes you realise what some of Arsenal’s young players are worth.
Fofana £80m….Saliba?
Anthony (Ajax) £100m….Saka? Martinelli

There’s an argument with the age profile of our squad and the style of football we play, high line, high press, high intensity, ball on the deck, fast paced….that Arsenal are the most exciting team for both now and the future in the whole of Europe right now

Away wins are still gold dust in this league no matter how poor you think the opposition are on the day. Every team in this league is more than capable of having ‘their day’ at home, crowd whipped up, eager to bloody the nose of a bigger team who might be slightly off it. 2 goals inside 10 minutes kills that stone dead.

Next up Fulham and Villa at home. Man U away then Everton at home.

People will point at an easy schedule if we keep winning but let it flood in. I bet Liverpool fans were quite happy with the fixtures of Fulham, palace to open the season.

By the way, Zinchenko is technically brilliant, his touch and awareness are superb.

He's not a natural left back or even a great defender but he is a progressive leftback who can move comfortably into the midfield area and effect the game and that's undoubtedly his role. I thought he was brilliant today, especially first half.

It's very interesting having him and Tierney battling it out for the starting spot at left back. It's not that one is clearly better than the other - it's just that they're completely different players, suited for different games. Tierney is more solid defensively, and much better at 1v1 defending. Has more speed to him, and is a great crosser. Zinchenko is basically a midfielder playing at left back, and it changes our set-up completely when he's playing. He's just so composed on the ball, and technically brilliant and I think that technique gives him a slight edge. Having technical players all over the pitch seems like something Arteta wants for the team to execute his style of football.

It’s a difficult one for the manager and he will need to rotate. Zinchenko was all over the pitch and was superb.

Early days but it strikes me Tierney is your guy for the Liverpools, city and spurs games and zinchenko when you can play more freely. However arteta isn’t a guy that likes to change up much
