Don't know exactly but it wasn't an injury. Evidently Arteta was getting pissed off with him on the sidelines.

Holding not looking too convincing either today.

Substitution based purely on performance. He was dreadful.

Exactly. He may not be the best but there's lots to like about him. A very, very honest pro.

Not very complementary about us at half-time. Rubbish. Like a pub team.

Despite what nonsense the commentators were saying that’s highly unusual for Arteta to do that

He has been right on both occasions

Commentators quite happy to ignore the obvious missed penalty.

Var or not the ref should spot that. He held his shirt for a long time and the ref had an unblocked view of it and White ensured it was as clear as it could be.

Another useless pass by Holding. He needs to focus.

Presumably we’re saving our energy for Anfield. This is slo-mo.

Wondering if we should pull Ødegaard down into the midfield and get Lacazette on in the no 10 role. Patino is a talented kid, but looks out of his depth here

I’d be curious to know the stats on how many times Patino has touched the ball. He seems to be anywhere but where the action is.

PS Well done Leno.

3 separate fouls on Saka there, not one of them given, then the ref gives them one immediately. Awful

Poor quality stuff. I suspect that many games (not just ours) will turn out this way for much of the season with patched up squads.

I should’ve been there today but a twisted knee buggered that. I seriously love the Cup and was really looking forward to today, so its bloody torture watching on tv.

Cédric is so last year. Patino isn’t ready. We have nothing in centre mf. We miss Xhaka and Partey.

At school mine was/were Dunlop Maxply Fort. Absolutely the racquet to have.

At the Op Shop last Thursday there was a bundle of old tennis / squash racquets taped together ..... one of them was a Maxply Fort in damn good condition too , thought about buying it for some misguided trip down memory lane ...... decided against it .

I used a Slazenger in my glory days anyway as did all the hot shot Aussies at the time .

Those wooden rackets were beautiful pieces of equipment, and it was quite a business taking care of them, with the gut strings and tendency to warp. I managed to get a Donnay in emulation of Borg, but it wasn't as good as the old Maxply.

Lacazette coming on at last.

It’s shocking

Cédric, lokonga, Nketiah, Patino all abysmal

Think this shows how thin the squad is. Take a few out and things don’t really click

The ball progression forward from Holding has been quite poor today. Cédric as well. Patino and Lokonga struggled to get in positions to receive it as well
