I realise that proportionally every clubs' fans should be more or less the same. But despite that I don't think Arsenal's fan base is as abusive to its managers as some others. Chelsea fans are already giving Sarri abuse and they're in almost the same position as us in his first season, or maybe a factor in that is their fans having higher expectations? It took much longer for the abuse of Wenger to start. It also took longer with Wenger than with Mourinho at Manchester United, where it started in year three even after he won two trophies in his first season there.

But apart from the Wenger lovers, who I suggest are fairly small in number, I doubt many Arsenal fans will will get on Emery's back as soon as this.

A possible Arsenal v Chelsea final with CL riding on it. Imagine missing out of top 4 in the league AND losing the cup final? I'd rather not. I do think we will get in the top 4 in some form or manner. Its possible Man Utd is the odd man out if we get in the top 4 and Chelsea wins it.

Crazy times. We win the next two matches and I think we will shade it. Assuming we beat Palace (not a foregone conclusion) and we put in an effort and win at Wolves, something a couple of the other top clubs haven't done, we will just shade it if other results happen as expected.
Lots of ifs, etc. but that's where we are at.

Well that's cleared things up. Cheers.

Don’t know much about the current Valencia side. With all the injuries piling up it could be reminiscent of our lurch to the Copenhagen final where we missed many. Squad rotation will be key and trying to re energise the players for Sunday must be tough

I still think the league represents our best chance of getting champions league.

I think Emery has done tremendously well considering the circumstances he inherited and the injuries throughout the campaign. If you told me at the start of the season with 5 games to go we would be in the top 4 and in a European semi I would have bitten your hand off. However if this thing does indeed implode then I expect our fans to give him dogs abuse

Agreed. The season has exceeded expectations. I have no idea who plays for Valencia but they don't look vary scary. They're a very mediocre 6th in La Liga and have only scored 36 goals in their 32 league games. I also get a feeling we have broken our away form hoodoo. The 11 that started last night (even with Özil for Ramsey) make a very good team. I'd back that team to beat Chelsea in the final if it came to that.

But ... there is a big dropoff in quality/form after that. As you say, rotation, let alone dealing with injuries and suspensions, is going to be a big headache. Even having a decent bench looks a bit challenging ...

I've played a lot with Valencia on pro evo this year after visiting the fantastic city last July. Dani Parejo and Rodrigo would be the players to look out for now Batsuai has joined Palace. They be had a poor season I think, last I looked the drew a lot of games. Don't concede too many.

Emery must look at these last few games as a sprint to the finish line. We are still in control for Top 4. This team is mentally stronger, albeit slightly, than teams of past. Emery must psyche their belief, and get back to ECL. That would be a strong statement from the club. Winning the Europa Cup will cement the team's belief. Then onward and upwards to next season. I hope to see more younger players make their way up. AMN is a great example.

City rearranging Spurs goal difference a bit would be most handy ...

Son has been on fire for a while now. Very capable attacker when Kane is out. I thought Sperz were over reliant on Kane but they have played well when he is out.

Antony Taylor still courting controversy at Newcastle v Southampton.

He will surely get shown up by VAR and more people will realise what an awful ref he is.

He’ll likely get plaudits for non decisions as VAR will step in and make the right ones.

Just bizarre watching united struggle with Sanchez on their bench. It’s just been a disaster for him there

Weird. Man U were unstoppable with Solskjaer as interim manager. The moment that his position was made permanent they fell apart.

After Manure's result they should be fired up. This is very poor.
