Aparently Chelsea offered Nwaneri £45k a week....he's 16. He's meant to be signing his new deal with us now

Unfortunately I agree, it’s a very small fee considering he was their best player I thought. Nearly everything went through him and spurs have definitely got a player now who can pick out Harry Kane.

That might be challenging if Kane is playing for Bayern Munich.

No way will Levy sell. They are so short at the moment and they just can’t replace what he gives them.

Certainly not for 60 million. I honestly think he would struggle for double that fee. Kane will probably start talking to other clubs around January next year when that Australian geezer gets booted and he’s allowed too.

Haven’t been this confused since I saw this https://youtu.be/uuP1GOEON7A

Ugh, that film was so dumb. Desperate to be so clever and things going in reverse just isn't the incredible cinematic experience they were hoping for.

Hmnnn I think they almost had something interesting with the concept of the future destroying the past that was intriguing. I thought the reverse aspect was a little silly in a few scenes and also they shouldn’t have cast Kenneth Branagh who really wasn’t scary enough and was overacting in a few scenes. Really if you go and see a movie and need to read several websites after that explain the actual plot back to you the movie hasn’t met its objective.

Would prefer they meet it halfway, say at 2.5 years on the deal for payments. Apparently all is still in a holding pattern.

He's not going to sign a new deal so he will walk for free next summer. That would be crazy. I'm sure Man Utd will put in a bid but Levy would much rather sell to Bayern. Kane has thrown his toys out of the pram before and has a much stronger hand now.

And who knows what sort of dodgy deal City offered him. It's fantastic that he is signing on with us.

I was getting so frustrated that I couldn’t make out a word anyone was saying, then read Nolan made those sound choices to make it more intriguing and difficult to follow. Furious I was. Agree Branagh was unusually terrible. Felt a bit like a sixth form concept piece.

Looper is a great film with the future using the past themes that actually (for a time travel film) make sense.

The sound was absurd.

The scene with the main character on the boat at the start was inaudible and that was the scene that spelt out the objective of the movie.

Nolan just overcooked the whole thing.

He was perfect in the excellent 'The Kominsky Method'. Also enjoyed him in 'Glengarry Glen Ross'.

My favourite ever movie possibly. 6 actors at the top of their game.

Good question, DHD. Maybe Supermac? (If you discount the weird Bob Latchford transfer, in which two players went in the other direction.) Bryn Jones?

Wasn’t bergkamp briefly ? Until collymore went to Liverpool the week after

He was never an English player, even briefly. :laughing7:

One of the best things that has happened that hasn't really been discussed is us going from 3rd best club in London to undisputed back to to club in London. A huge achievement that happened in a fairly short period of time.

Leeds v Man. Utd., FA Cup semi-final 1965. Wow, that pitch is beat up. Looks like a tractor ran through it. It also looks like they beat up on each other.

Fabregas officially retired today.

What a player he was. Still to this day I haven’t seen a player as young as him take control of central midfield premier league games as he did. It really isn’t talked about enough, and perhaps because it was pre social media and 24/7 football coverage. Can you imagine a top 6 side bringing it some unknown 17 year old from abroad nowadays and sticking him in central midfield and he immediately becomes the best passer and controller of games in the league. The reaction would be off the scale.

I see Ces Fabergas has finished his playing career. I wish him well for the future. He is going to start his coaching career. I will always remember some of his passing and efforts for the team.

My favorite post Invincibles player by some distance (that may end up changing with someone from this current lot)

I also think Wenger put his pettiness over what was best for the club by not taking him back when he was leaving Barca. Many if not most gooners will disagree, I don't care....lol (I really don't). I think we'd have been much better off with him than Özil. Not taking away from Özil, he's a top class player when he's on his game.

He'd also make a great link to the invincibles for the players who have no connection to that .He's always been a fighter.

Anyone else having problems with twitter. All I get now when I try to refresh is "rate limit exceeded" and its been like that since yesterday.

I know Musk has set some limits but I literally can't use twitter because of it.

In NYC in a few weeks. Amazing city, been before but if anyone has any tips about things they’ve done there that was good give us a shout. I have time to kill.

At times like this it would be useful to have an American poster to speak to who hadn’t blocked everyone on the forum yet continued to past 3 thousand word thesis’s largely to himself.

Hi Warrior,

Brentford sign Nathan Collins CB from Wolves for £23m!
Wolves turn down £35m offer for Max Kilman from Napoli.

And people think Rice at £100m is crazy

Manor Solomon joins spurs on a free transfer. Left winger had a spell at Fulham on loan last year where he had a purple patch of 5 in 5 but other than that seemed a bit meh.
We’ll see but their fans must be pretty sick seeing us sign Rice

Nathan Collins has lots of potential. He's only 22. I watch Ireland's games (obviously) and he is raw and prone to errors that a young centre half would make, but he has also put in some very good performances. He is good on the ball and a fine athlete. £23m isn't extortionate.

Liverpool keen on Lavia. Lots of big teams in the league chasing this guy now.
Saints want £50m. That’s a lot of money

Gvardiol to Man City is close, 100m euros for a CB. The most expensive in history of it goes through.
Probably means Laporte will leave

Got a spurs supporting friend (I know) who is adamant that Wilshere was miles better than Fabregas and says without the injuries Wilshere would have achieved far more than Fabregas.

Now I’d have loved to have seen an injury free career of Wilshere but Fabregas was the better player no doubt. I didn’t realise Fabregas hit 13-15 goals a year for Barca when he went there. He got 19 for us one season plus the countless assists. There were times when he carried our team on his back. He also won a world up and 2 euro champs for the best national team I’ve seen in my lifetime. I don’t think Wilshere has a chance of that even totally injury free

Rice, Kai and Timber. If that's it, I'm excited about next season. I'd love Caecido but I'm confident with what we have if it has to be this lot. I've always thought we could and should be getting more out of Xhaka's position. I think that little change will reap huge benefits.

Cesc is a legend. Sherringscum is possibly the player I detest the most. Scholes, Evra and Giggs are a close 2nd.

Why would a footballer on over 100k a week feel the need to flog personalised videos for 98 quid a pop. I mean haven’t you got enough readies mate

Surely tacky

Sky just said Arsenal are exploring the "potential exit routes" for Nicolas Pépé, Folarin Balogun, Albert Sambi-Lokonga, Nuno Tavares and Cédric Soares and that we want 50 million quid for balogun. Seems about right but as I said previously I can’t rationalise selling balogun and keeping Eddie. The rest of those players will probably fetch enough cash to pay a weeks wages for the 3 new signings
