City 2-0 up, and Leicester have taken the lead against Tottenham. Things shaping up nicely for us if we just do our job here.

It's all about where your starting point is - looking at it from the start of the season 7th place is a huge disappointment. Looking at it from this morning, 7th is a big improvement. I choose the latter!

This is the most lively I've seen us in a long time. We need to be a bit more clinical but we aren't laying back.

We’re not there yet. :icon_mrgreen:

Plenty of effort from the players but no end product as yet.

I’ll bet that they are even more keen on keeping him now. He’s certainly made more of an impact than any of our recent loan signings.

They'll try, and I guess it all depends on whether Arteta sees a future for him at Arsenal. If we do sell, every goal he scores is still for our benefit. Can't sell a midfielder who has scored 8 goals in 14 games for peanuts.

So the ball crosses the line, offside is given, probably rightly from the one replay I saw but we don't seem to have any proper VAR review with lines drawn. Perhaps VAR did the check super quick but it wasn't apparent

Puzzling wasn’t it? All microscopically close and yet resolved in an instant.

It was the correct decision.

It was the speed of the decision that was perplexing.

Disappointed with Aubameyang so far. Lacking any spark.

On top in the first half but unable to get the goal. Hopeful it will come if we keep up the attacking intent. Would like to see Martinelli for Aubameyang on the hour if there's still no breakthrough.

The sooner Aubameyang becomes our go to sub the better. That or sell him for a reasonable price. He's shown so often that he's past it. Couldn't hit a barn door at the moment :12hello-bye:

We should ask ourselves whether we want to be in this poxy competition or would we rather it was Spurs?

I'd rather be in it than out of Europe altogether.

Yes that’s the point. There were two things to check, the offside and whether it came off Partey or the defender.
Correct decision but why aren’t we treated to the var detail that we have for so many other decisions?

It’s the biggest thing lacking in the performance. Top level strikers just can’t be so anonymous in a performance where we dominate possession. We can talk about lack of service and chances laid on for him but other top strikers make things happen for themselves and others

Pépé again! 9 league goals on the season isn't bad considering our stuttering performances and the fact that only 16 of his 29 performances has been as a starter.

Can someone get me the odds on us starting a 50 game unbeaten run? I want to put fiver on it. :icon_mrgreen:

If that was Luiz instead of Lallana that would be a penalty and a red card

Feels that way. And VAR absent once again.
