Quite right ...all those who want us to lose to Spurs [ including my own son ... traitorous little swine ]

I admire Spurs as a team and what Pochettino has done but they have some absolute gilt edged f*** full blown anal fans and sure as hell I wouldn't want to give them anything at all to be cheerful about .

I'd rather we beat Spurs then go on and lose to Brighton , Bournemouth , Burnley , Southampton .

Whatever the result there is no way Wenger will leave before his contract expires unless we lose about twenty in a row .

I doubt whether he has anything else going on in his life except football .

Yep, if I were face to face to spuds fans all day long then it would be harder, even with my treachery. :) but....... if the results don't improve then there's a greater probability that Wenger will go. Otherwise, he stays for 2 years (at this stage) and results still won't improve anyway under his leadership so what's the point?

I hope we win but my goodness it's irrelevant these days and like Pete said you just know if we win Wenger will use it to paper over the cracks for a few weeks. I have a feeling we may get a result today for some reason

Where am I with Wenger ? I reckon if we selected a new manager from the usual merry go round managers like Steve Bruce, mark Hughes or Sam allardyce they would get more out of our players than him.

Just seen he's picked Xhaka, another mistake I'd have gone for Coquelin

Where would the NLD rank as 'must see' derbies for British fans? I'm going to guess 3rd. Man Utd v. Liverpool first, even though its not a derby but what my spanish friends call 'classico' the biggest game in the country but maybe erroeneously I've heard it referred to as a derby. So if we are talking strictly derbies. I'd say we rank first perhaps...historically perhaps. No? The Manchester derby has only recently meant anything. The Liverpool derby is big no doubt but perhaps in the '80s it was bigger. The northeast has Newcastle v. Sunderland but I can't imagine the whole country looking forward to it.
But then again can it be also said the north wouldn't care so much for an Arsenal v. Tottenham derby? I don't know its a guess but I'd say yes, being in the capital and all.

Jeysus TG if Arsenal employs any of those donkeys then we're worse off. If it had to be an interim then give Bould a go without the Wenger handbrake

Pathetic from Mike Dean. Vertonghen trips himself and Özil can square for Lacazette to tap in to an empty net but dean blows for the softest of free kicks

We’re the better team, game is low on quality at the moment but I like the tempo arsenal are playing at

If Xhaka got booked their their Sanchez should be for that foul on our Sanchez. Without the foul Sanchez would have had a great chance

Mustafi is a tiny bit offside from the free kick.

The power of having a centre forward who is always playing on the shoulder and making those runs behind. Lacazette makes the run, squares it for Sanchez who finishes high in to the roof of the net.

Why can’t we play with this intensity every game!

Chasing down players, putting in an effort & wanting to win. Must win this game from here.

Deserved half time lead, it’s a lead we have early through intensity rather than quality.
Neither team is knocking the ball around with any class or authority but arsenal kept such an intense pressure on spurs back line the chances were being created and the goal was coming.
Spurs will debate the free kick that led to the first goal, I think it was a soft free kick but as Sanchez heads it past the defender, the defenders first reaction is to reach and grab Sanchez to stop him getting past him.

Last week we were generally told to get back in our box when two decisions went against us, so let’s see what the headlines are here.

We must see this out, Lacazette must stay on for the full 90, spurs high line is going to give him chances in the second half.

This is a serious performance from us so far.

The score and this game are perfect for Jack to come on?

Not good enough in my view. But if he comes on if he sits deep & defend only. The fact that Ramsay has sat deeper is helping. Xhaka is going okay but needs to lift his game.

Question for all those "wanting Arsenal to lose" turkeys ........ who wants Spurs to come out in the second half and score three ?

I've fallen well out of love with Wenger Kroenke and Co but I will gloriously happy if we beat the shower of sh***t from Wembley .

Thinking of how p**sed off their fans will be ...wonderful . Might go back to bed because if we don't beat them I'll be thoroughly p**sed off .

Agreed Rich ....and what's the betting Wenger makes a couple of insane substitutions removing a couple of our best players to hand back the initiative .
Going into our shell and trying to hold what we have isn't the way to go .

Sanchez is going to be a huge loss. If he goes in January I'm not sure how you can compensate for the loss of a player like that mid season

First 20 mins of the second half have passed without incident

Sanchez whistles one over the corner of post and bar

At this point in the game I don’t like how Ramsey is getting so far forward still. The front 3 are more than capable of causing their own problems

I think we have to keep him until the end of the season whatever. We'd only get about half of his value at most in January anyway.

Xhaka stays on and Lacazette is subbed

Daft decision

Mike dean is also desperate to send one of our lot off.
