The game is so open. Ra the opposite of the stoke game.

Arsenal committing so many men forward, Bellerin is an out and out right winger! Leaving us vulnerable at the back and on the counter but give me this over the stoke game any day

Özil with 3 assists, the pas to Bellerin for Ramsey’s first goal and would have had the assist for the one Ramsey had chalked off

Swashbuckling stuff going forward. Still think our tactic of playing without a defence again is somewhat risky.

Özil and Rambo brilliant.

Golovin, who we were linked with a few months ago, looks a player.

We’ve turned the corner. Must keep going in the second half. Can’t afford for it to finish 4-2

Anyone who wants Bellerin or Ramsey gone must be mad. Victims of a poor manager with no tactics, both of their potential is huge.

Play to their strengths and coach them properly and you have a flying full back and a goal scoring central mid. Midfielders who ghost in to scoring positions like Ramsey are not that common

Mkhitaryan kicked out of the game. Iwobi on. Hope Mkhitaryan is ok. Will need him for the European games

Let’s be honest folks. Free kick aside they are not very good

Good point. And they could have scored a few more quite easily.

The number of times we lose the ball with 4-5 players ahead of the ball and it takes so long for those 4-5 to get back goal-side. It’s pure work rate

Shocking. Iwobi clear sight of goal, could easily bend/pass it in to the far corner or he could square for any of 3 arsenal players for a tap in and he sort of does neither.

Should have put the tie to bed. Iwobi looked so low on confidence then

Of course, they have let us play and when teams do that we can look pretty good. They’ve committed men forward as well which combined with our total disregard for defending has led to a number of chances for them

For all the good attacking play I’m afraid to say Wilshere has been a passenger. I don’t like him in the advanced position.

Giving the ball away far too much

We should be more than 4-1 up here. We are more than 4-1 better than this Moscow side. 4-1 still leaves a glimmer of hope for them at home. 5/6-1 ends the tie tonight

Almost 5, again. Akinfeev didn't know much about that; mind you I'm not sure that Welbeck did either

Point blank save from a Welbeck knee. Ramsey just wide.

This could have been 8, it definitely should have been 6

Well, you'd have taken 4-1 at the start but we really should have put the tie out of sight second half. As it stands, at home and with our defence, CSKA still have a squeak of a chance.

Sparkling attacking display orchaestrated by Özil but our defence isn't good enough to win this competition. Kos looks a shadow of the player he was and Mustafi is a clown.

Bit of a boring second half but truth be told 4-1 should easily be enough, it’s just such a shame as Rich said should have been 6 and then you’re going to Russia really won the option of resting key players for at least a half. Wilshere misplaced about 5 passes in a row and handed them a little bit of momentum in the second half, after that the team didn’t have the same zip, looked like they accepted the result. Wilshere easily most disappointing player on the night. Bit gutted for him really.

Best game I've seen Özil have in an Arsenal shirt.

4-1 should be more than enough. Disappointed that we didn’t score more. Too often seem to take our foot off he pedal when there was much more there for us.
Seems odd that we are not good enough for the knock out stages of the champions league but seem far too good for 95% of the Europa League.

Athletico Madrid worry me. No chance we get past them without everyone at their absolute best. Need them in the final rather than semi as I can’t see us putting two stellar performances in in a row

You should go for a quiet pint around Twickenham after a game mate :laughing7:

However yes I see your point more morons follow football for some reason. The rules to rugby must be too complex for them or something :laughing7:

I have been to Twickenham ... England v Scotland ...after the match the Scots terraces were awash with empty Johnny Walker , Glenffidich bottles and Newcastle Brown Ale cans ......plenty of legless Jocks , Scotland lost ... a volatile mix yet not a hint of trouble .

Yes you're right ... rugby rules understood by only those of superior intellect :icon_mrgreen:

Great performances by Ramsey and Özil but my goodness not many teams would let them do their bidding like that. Not much talent in this competition

The build up to Ramsey's heel flick goal was vintage Wenger era Arsenal. No more than a touch or two the last 3 or 4 passes. We should have scored at least 2 or 3 more goals.

Mrs Kiwi tells me there is only twelve hours difference , so I click on at twenty past eight and find we've already played 68 minutes 4 -1 up .

So I miss all the good stuff . :blob8:

Moscow looked very poor .

What disappoints me in the segment I watched is given the measure of control we pass backwards so often , take the foot of the gas and don't score a couple more .

Puzzled as usual Arsene's logic ; Lacazette needing a confidence boost gets substituted so denied the possibility of a hat trick :icon_scratch: :icon_scratch: looked far from happy about the whole deal .

8 degrees which is hardly tropical and all those Russkis dancing around with their shirts off , plenty of anti freeze in the shape of vodka I guess .

Managed to watch part of the game this afternoon. Ramsay put himself out in the marketplace after this game. If he does not want to stay under Wenger then I expect there will be a few callers to the club.

On the other hand Wilshire, who once had a go at Sanchez about misplaced passes, demonstrated that even against an ordinary team he lacks that killer pass or sometimes even an obvious pass. Yes he is good at 5 metre sideway passes to team mates who are in no better position but he is simply not good enough. let him go. Withdraw any offer we have made- we need to buy for this position.

So can I clarify that you are incapable of actually looking at the internet to sort out time zones. Does your wife get a carers pension because she bloody deserves it.

At your age I would have thought you would understand to never trust a woman.

If a 4-1 scoreline first leg, doesn't give fans a lot of confidence they will go through, it speaks volumes of the club. Didn't we almost blow a great win from a first leg tie not too long ago?

Arsenal and the EPL has changed Özil's game and made him a much more durable player. He's tougher. He doesn't sit around with raised hands for 5 minutes after a hard tackle any longer. He learned what other foreigners have who have come to the league with sublime skills and played in leagues where the referees coddled you a bit and that is you either toughen up or don't and be far less effective.

He's attacking more as well. Not just being a provider but getting into scoring positions, making runs to be on the end of a pass instead of the front end.

He's even a wee bit more vocal. The Özil that came to us is a whole different Özil today. Yes, he needs to be consistently better. He can still be accused of hiding a bit in matches here and there but overall, he's improved.
