With all that’s been said, and I understand the hatred, the Leeds team is still in my top 3 best ever domestic teams… with our invincibles and the Liverpool team with Souness Rush Dalgleish et al. I’m hard pressed to put them in order. These three are the best I’ve ever seen...even above the great Utd teams (Best Law and Charlton version and the treble winners) or current Man C team who are on course for a four timer
Yes, it was a great team, but always tainted by their gamesmanship and occasional violence. Revie was a pioneering player, and then manager. When he changed Leeds' kit to emulate Real Madrid, he also adopted some of the more cynical practices of the European teams, though to his credit not diving. While there always had been tough teams in English football, Revie's Leeds went beyond that. When they concentrated on football they were superb.

Heresy I know, but Spurs' Double team, later supplemented by Jimmy Greaves and Alan Gilzean, was a phenomenal side.

omoh! Our departed member, Mee, is looking down on you now and I don't have to say what his demeanor is.

One of the most surreal things as an American going to a game was not seeing the opposition fans until I was in my seat. I recall not seeing any (visible) Liverpool fans as I was getting out of the underground, walking to the game, going in, not at the concession stand or the bathrooms. I almost wondered if they had even turned up.

Arsenal: Leno, Chambers, Luiz, Mari, Tierney, Xhaka, Partey, Ødegaard, Saka, Aubameyang, Lacazette

Subs: Ryan, Cédric, Holding, Gabriel, Elneny, Ceballos, Smith Rowe, Pépé, Martinelli

I'd have preferred Cédric over Chambers. The one big area Chambers worries me is 1v1 against pace and trickery. He's up against Bowen or Benrahma today

Good decisions there Mikel. Lacazette and Aubameyang the right choice

Chambers was good last game (I really hope we don’t sell him)

I would have preferred Pépé with Aubameyang in the middle. But its a close call.

Depends how much you can get for Chambers. He's not good enough to be our first choice RB or CB. We already need a better first choice RB so you'd only be keeping Chambers to be maybe 3rd choice RB and 5th choice CB - if you can raise £15m by selling him and bolstering other areas of the team then I'd do it in a flash

Aubameyang wide right and Saka wide left. I cant remember many great games Aubameyang has had from that side

What time are we scheduled to start then?

West Ham seem to have started before us.

Impressive track back and tackle by Aubameyang on Lingard

Blatant dive from Bowen. When was the last time we saw anyone booked for diving?

Partey should be tracking him. And I was referring to the first goal. And then we concede for lack of concentration for the second.

free kick not taken from the right place. West Ham gain a big advantage by taking the free kick 5-6 yards back from where the incident took place. The ball was stationary.

We also need to be awake to that. Its awful all round. Then it squirms under Leno who should save it easily

This is completely about attitude and tempo. West Ham have simply come out playing high press and high tempo - if you fail to match it you'll get ripped apart all the time

I’m guessing that you’re on time delay and referring to the first goal. Now shut your eyes.

One of these sides looks like they intend to finish in the top four.

We've been asleep. This is what we do unfortunately. Just when you think we are about to go on a run we slip up.

Looks like a total european hangover type performance. We've made enough changes for it not to effect it though.

To often we're not willing to match the high tempo starts from the opposition and it is no surprise to see us go down early in games so often, often with a bad error. It is something Arteta needs to address because it is nothing to do with quality of players it is about being switched on and motivated

Fifteen slow motion passes around between our defence, looking increasingly out of control before finally losing possession in a dangerous area.

This is as bad as we've been all season. Such simple mistakes all over the pitch. waiting for the pass, passes too short, not tracking runs, not competing in 50/50's. West Ham aren't having to do anything that special we've put zero effort in to this first half so far
