I agree, can anyone point to where Luiz makes an action? he clips him fair enough, but he wasn't trying to play the man or ball. Yellow at most as last man but that's it, the rules arent supposed to punish you twice for that anymore

He's through on goal. Don't f*****g touch him.

He barely did to be fair. Penalty and a yellow would've been enough

It looked an accident plus didn’t they ditch the double jeopardy rule

For the other nineteen premier league teams yes.

He gave the ref the choice to make.

Its a contact sport. You can touch a player without it being a foul, let alone a red card.

Absurd.

But such is life! Let's see how we cope.

Even if you think it’s a penalty the red doesn’t need to send him off under double jeopardy anymore and Then VAR fails. We’ve got screwed twice there

I've seen all the angles and I just dont see any contact there. The Wolves players kicks the ground and falls over.

Just heard the b%*&s%*^ explanation if why that was a red. If he'd slid in and taken him out it would have been a yellow apparently. But if the attackers foot hits Luiz's knee, then he trips himself, that's a red. What the actual *%^@.

This is why VAR is a load of bollocks

Remember the ref replaying Nketiahs challenge v Liverpool over and over and they made that In a matter of seconds.

Crazy decision. We’ve been absolutely screwed

Rules are 100% clear. Any accidental foul cannot be a red card in that situation. Total joke decision that happens time and time again against us.
Why are we always the team that refs seemingly make up or ignore the rules for?

Arteta needs to come out after the game and quite the rule to them and ask for an explanation and for the ref to be removed

This sort of self pity is nonsense. We are not being singled out.

Looks possible. Did Holding bump into Luiz and knock him off balance?

But I suppose VAR's justification is that it is not at all obvious what happened. So the ref's decision stands.

Oh no! :8angers:

Ridiculous decision. Never a penalty. I can see the ref giving it but VA R should deny it. The guys backward motion made his leg hit Luiz

By the way are refs supposed to blow up at the end of the two minutes ( (assuming no stoppages)or wait for a break in play. If the former we get screwed twice

Wolves bang out of form, Arsenal playing well, so lightning strikes twice to give them a leg up. You've just gotta ignore this and keep getting better, no-one else this season will smash one in of the inside of the post from 35 *%^@*** yards this season. David Luiz might get an exact same red card mind...

It’s just one of those horrible situations that seem brutally unfair all round.

Well this is going to be horrendous. The only thing Wolves could hope for is space on the counter. We have to attack with 10 men giving them exactly what they want and playing into the only hope they have. Argh so fricking annoying.

Partey's foot comes into contact with Semedo's head, but it was accidental so only the electric chair for young Thomas.

Ya think. We get so many there’s never any comeback on the refs, we have such a red card count over the past 20 odd years what’s another one matter, contact you say here have another.

I love how VAR checks are so quick and efficient, done with in a matter of seconds.

In this game, and this game only.

Just bizarre. A horrible horrible set of circumstances.

And yet we were so damned good in the first half. We just have that to hang onto in the following days.

Deliberate handball there, not accidental, so no firing squad for Leno

Leno has had a shocker there but the entire game turns on that ref decision to send off Luiz.
I’m fuming when we aren’t given a fair chance to compete in games.

Never in a million years is someone like Harry Maguire (for example) sent off for that.

These decisions seem ridiculous. That’s harsh on Leno. Yellow maybe but the that’s an accident

I could name countless decisions where something has happened to us but never given again in any other game. I’m not saying refs are deliberately deciding to make up rules to damage us but it does happen far too often.
Remember only last week we had Pépé booked for not leaving the pitch quickly enough when he wasn’t even subbed!
