If we can beat Chelsea, Man Utd and Tottenham I'd take that for the rest of the season.

I bet some of you old reprobates were around for this in 1963.

Decent shot on goal then. Looking for visible changes in attitude and tactics.

Özil is finding huge areas of space between the lines. Crucially we seem to be getting the ball in to him quicker.

Noticeable how hard we’re working off the ball. Need to keep it up.

Bournemouth creating some dangerous situations. Quite an even start

Some actual nice stuff being played. I repeat, one glimmer of hope, I can hardly believe it.

Team is moving faster, that's nice. Like the movement of Özil and Xhaka.

We seem a bit more positive than the prior few weeks.

We seem to be playing American football on our shots on goal and going for a field goal. A bit more shots on target would be nice. But all in all better stuff than we've been seeing.

Strikers need to stop selecting the sand wedges and smashing all out chances into row, well I would say Z but Bournemouth’s ground is so small. I reckon about M. Either way get it on target!

6 efforts at goal already.
The players must feel they are playing better, really need to get the goal to keep the confidence flowing.

No sign of anything like that today.

7 shots

None on target... although a few blocked. Bournemouth there for the taking, hope we don’t regret messing up these chances.

Are our forwards deliberately ballooning the balls? Almost all attempts gets in the air :42laughter: Just like my golf drives :1laughter:

We need to knock their confidence and hard. A goal might do it. Just a suggestion.

Is Pépé's attitude so poor that we play Nelson instead?

Mistake laying out from the back, not getting up quick enough to play their striker offside and we’re 1-0 down. Wasted chances and confidence is now going to be totally drained

Lacazette has had 3-4 chances to properly run at their last man and get a shot away, he’s failed to test the gk on every occasion

Just given Bournemouth something to defend and counter. Suits players who really have got nothing else but run and work hard.

Opposing players only have one simple instruction. Run hard and fast at the Arsenal defence and they will panic sufficiently for you to find a goal.

Biggest difference is the intensity that Bournemouth attackers run at our defence compared with us against them. Lacazette and Nelson both a bit half paced and not willing to really back themselves to beat their man

Now playing a motivated team in the rain, crowd in full voice. And why? *%^@*** around at the back strikes again. If your facing your own goal under pressure just play it long!!

It's such a topsy-turvey season. Only 12 points between 17th and 4th as things stand and even Watford don't look like no hopers.

Nelson has been pony. I'd get Pépé on.

We keep playing Özil so it can't be that. Simply inexplicable.

Saka and Nelson final cross has been absolutely dreadful, and despite that we’ve still created a lot. Should not be losing this. Plenty of lapses of concentration in attack.

Overall a really positive start to the game. Lots to be positive about but a real shame we are one down as Bournemouth don't really merit it.

I don’t mind the general principle of trying to pass out of defence rather than hoof it, but the important part is to have the intelligence that sometimes we’ll have played ourselves in to trouble or the opposition get their press spot on and we just need to hoof it to clear our lines

The last time I played golf, the best 2 balls I hit was when I stood on the rake in the sand trap.
