Newcastle are so poor, how are we 4 points behind them in the league.

We’re in a relegation fight but my word we simply cannot finish lower than sheff Utd, West Brom, Fulham, Newcastle. That were even on their level at the moment shows how atrocious we’ve been

Nobody anywhere near Jesus in the box there. Not the merest hint of a challenge.

I’ve become numb to it. As the goal went in there was just a feeling of “here we go again “.

Plenty of space for them to be able to cross the ball too.

Sigh. Stupid yellow by Elneny. Had plenty of opportunity not to commit to the foul.

And Mustafi follows it with a grab. Clueless.

We'll soon be down to our customary 10 men at this rate.

What is particularly frustrating is that we are on a poor run of disciplinary issues. Yet the players just seem programmed to keep on repeating the same offences. There is no apparent thought to improve.

Crikey. We have a goal. A good one. Lacazette scores. Martinelli is making a difference.

Do my eyes deceive me?

Did our keeper just kick the ball upfield out of his hands?

Well who saw that coming. An amazing save from a keeper who has looked completely out of his depth so far. Well done.

If an outfield player had made that ‘tackle’ on Martinelli it would be at least a yellow.

Please let Martinelli be okay.

We've done well to get back into this. Big second half required.

Did think that myself. The weird anomalies and double standards in professional football. I’d like it if we could work out out how to exploit them rather that be shafted by them constantly!

Hmmmm. Maybe Martinelli should have gone off when the keeper crushed him.

At least he’s walking off.

It's a worry. At least it doesn't look like the knee again. Please let it be just a minor knock.

Yes. Especially when we saw what a positive and energising impact he had.

Horrible. He looks like a youth team keeper playing in a men’s match.

He’s 25 years old

And he was in the exact position he planned to be.

If Leno gets injured we're in trouble.

And a third that VAR would have shown to be clearly offside.

He wasn’t even anywhere near that

We are in the proverbial.

And with VAR that would have been offside, and Fernandinho might be off.

Still, it’s the same for both sides.

Sums up our season that a goal that var would clearly disallow is scored against us in the only competition that isn’t using var.

If Leno gets injured we really might go down. We need to go and get a back up GK as the top priority in January ahead of anyone creative

Also that’s Luiz, partey and martinelli all picking up injuries and playing on and having to come off potentially worsening the injury

Scarily out of his depth.

Actually their breakaway started up in City’s half when Ceballos booted the ball up Willock’s arse by way of a pass. Then none of our players got anywhere near it until it was in our net.

Apparently Elneny got a rocket from the arsenal management against Everton for not playing forward and not playing quickly enough. That game against Man U seems a very long time ago. There was a reason he was out on loan.
It is a shocking dereliction of duty that our central midfield is a player we have on loan and a player we don’t rate because we sent him on loan

Surely Matt Macey is better than this guy. It's a kick in the guts for the outfield players when your keeper plays like that.
