I think likes of Welbeck and Ramsey can be convinced to stay if they think we are capable of getting a top 4 finish and eventually be a genuine title contender in a couple of seasons...

Welbeck already has a league title and I think it would take some convincing to suggest we will be genuine title contenders any time soon. I'd say he is looking at securing the final big contract of his career and I doubt very much it will be at Arsenal.

I'd be surprised if any of the other top clubs in the league would be interested in him. If he gets decent game time and an offer from us I'd think there's every chance he'd accept.

Very good match going on between the Hammers and Chelsea. West Ham playing very well, good end to end stuff. They had their chances. Hopefully they can put in a similar effort in the 2nd half.

Usually I jinx teams but West Ham held on. Good for them.

Win and we're 5th equal with our local neighbours. Could be 4th if we beat Watford in our next game.

I would drop Mustafi for Holding. He is a clumsy one.

Sokratis Papastathopoulos has been added to the Injury Room.

He has suffered a knee (non-specified) injury and so far there is no information on how long he will spend on the sidelines.
The average time lost for this particular injury is 28 days, based on a sample size of 36 injuries of the same type.

Sokratis off injured. Now our central defence is the far from convincing pairing of Mustafi and Holding. We're getting into the game more now though.

You would think our new defenders were warned repeatedly about Theo's pace.

That's not really fair though. How would we have any idea what style of player Theo is ?

Well, the second half has to be better than that (doesn’t it?).

Not the greatest first half quality wise. Need to see Ramsey and Özil making more of a significant contribution. Čech has played well, thankfully, because if we continue to let Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin and Walcott run at our defence sooner or later they're going to make it count.

The only player I think who has earned some if his wages so far is Čech. Torreira is a red card in second half, unless he calms down.

Lacazette, Özil, Ramsey wasteful in possession, with Özil seeming to not give a feck.

Phew. Nice one Lacazette. Quality out of context with the game so far.

Nice for Aubameyang to get on the scoresheet but that's half a yard offside.

Slice of luck because Aubameyang is well offside. That is a shocker from the Lino. Good counter that we nearly messed up

Ya. Very lucky. Terrible from Özil. Straight through with just the keeper to beat and he passes it.

Take Torreira off. Save him from a red card. We will do something dumb, and he will have to commit a foul because of it.
