Hardly think we're playing this poorly because Tierney is missing

The number of unforced errors by us in this half must be in double figures easily.

Partey so disappointing. The exact opposite of the response you need in the face of this kind of *%^@ Palace are pulling. Red card to complete the set tonight to kill off our chances to come back.

We’re a bonafide mess on the left flank. Look again.

Tierney, Tommy, martinelli

No arguments with the scoreline. Terrible performance so far.

Well that is a poor a half of football as we've played for months. No one comes out of that with any credit. Feels like Martinelli has to come on to just inject some pace in to the side. We're struggling to play through the lines because their press is sharp and organised and we're taking too many touches on the ball and are not careful enough with it - that's every player.

Tavares eing targeted. Doesn't have the discipline to know what to do so he ends up hanging back for fear of being beaten to the chase.

And tomiyasu, Cédric is *%^@.

To be fair in the run of games he's had Cédric hasn't let anyone down. He's up against Zaha tonight, one of the toughest wingers in the league, I can;t recall Zaha skinning him. The drop off from Tierney and Tomiyasu is not what we'd want but there are bigger issues with the performance than just at full back. Partey has gone from dominating midfields every week to poor touches and being closed down and struggling to impact the game at all. When we struggle to get the ball from the back in to midfield and then the midfield struggle to keep hold of it when we do the front 4 are isolated and can't get in the game - we don't really have the players to go direct like Liverpool would for example

I've seen this so many times with Arsenal it is either a non-scoring journeyman striker - quite often playing on the wing because he rarely scores but just puts in a nuisance shift against us......or it is a journeyman central midfielder who we just allow to snap in to tackles instead of using our superior passing and technical ability to render him useless.

of course Palace are no mugs, they held City to a 0-0 here, but we're totally playing in to their hands

That’s not the case. The fear was he’d be terrible. He’s been average. That’s not glowing praise. He’s been terrible against Zaha, who’s had the feeedom of the right flank, which is what I’d expect because he’s average.

Like I've always said, Spurs can play *%^@ and still win a game, we don't seem to have that capability.

So far today its the latterday Wenger side who couldn't match the intensity and physicality of teams in these tricky away fixtures.

The 2nd goal looks really bad, you have Gabriel over confident thinking he can reach a ball he can't and takes himself out of the game, and then Tavares also over confident that Gabnriel is going to reach it. You don't have to listen to someone like Lee Disxon for long to tell you about full back play and sweeping behind your CB - you have to prepare for the worst case scenario, Tavareas stopped and didn't track the run - from then on it was a certain goal.

Hard to see us keeping a clean sheet in the second half, and we're not scoring 3-4 goals. Only comfort is we can lose and still be equal on points with Tottenham with a game in hand but it's really depressing to see performances like this.

Yeah well he’s made the change on the left.

Bye bye Tavares

Yeah, wasn't saying he's been playing well, was I? Still weird to single him out as if Tierney missing the game is the reason for Partey not being able to hit a five yard pass or any of our players not being able to win a single duel in 45 minutes.

Best thing about that Lacazette ‘pen’ would’ve been the scream

Just wish Lacazette would stop going down so easily. Pathetic

So why isn't that a penalty, just shoves Saka off the ball. Middle of the pith the ref gives it easily - pathetic

It’s really painful watching tonight. You can just see the confidence draining away.

Not a single one of our players having a good game.

Xhaka has done well at left back so far but I’m not sure we can play him in that position for the rest of the season.

Saka to left back and Emile on the right?

First real chance of the game, Smith-Rowe couldn't find the finish.

Don't really like the idea of our best attacking player going to left back
