How pitches have moved on. Fulham’s used to be an absolute quagmire. I can remember a game there in the late 60s where Bob Wilson was running with the ball in the area and bouncing it (as per the laws of the game back then). On one bounce the ball simply stuck in the mud and a Fulham forward took the opportunity to score from that.

The reaction in the second half has been brilliant. Right at it from the off, didn’t let the goal before half time deflate us. Put our foot on Fulham’s throat and didn’t take it off.
There were nervous moments against Everton and Watford and we were told we were lucky neither had a really good striker, Fulham do and we’ve neutralised him and scored 4 great goals.
Good performances all over the pitch from every single player.
