No, cause it is 0-3 now. They run through us so easily. And yet we huff and puff to get to their penalty area.

Xhaka's modus operandi is to look for players to pass to, and he almost always look backwards. What a waste of space. Slows us down all the time.

The players don’t want to play for this manager
The fans desperately want the manager gone
Most of the board want the manager gone

There have only really been 2 people who want this manager....out of the millions associated or supporting arsenal.

This season needs to get more and more poisonous, this is perfect for people who want change because this pathetic display is the only game of note on tonight, streamed all around the world. No hiding place- or there shouldn’t be.

Hope the fans who have turned up don’t just give it the boos, constant chanting required as well

There was a time when we used to rip teams apart like this.

It's sad to see how far we have slipped-OK, City are the dominant team at present but the booing is justified. Can't blame Chambers or Holding this time - this is our first team out there getting stuffed! I'm still hoping for a miracle, 3-3 final score :1laughter:

Be fair. City's goals were brilliant. This is what we used to do to teams when we had Pires, Bergkamp and Henry. This is a brilliant team and we are an average side.

Wenger should have gone after the hull cup win. Look at the list of first team signings since that day and decide how many could be described as a good signing
14-15
Sanchez
Chambers
Welbeck
Gabriel
Ospina
Debuchy

15-16
Čech
Elneny

16-17
Xhaka
Mustafi
Perez
Holding

17-18
Lacazette
Kolasinac
Mkhitaryan
Aubameyang

The last 2 we haven’t seen enough. But that is only 14 other players in 8 transfer windows, and I can make a case for 1 being a genuine success (Sanchez)

You just knew that it didn’t matter who took that penalty we would miss it. I’ve never seen a team so devoid of confidence all round

So we finally get a penalty and somehow we still don't score!

Forget the snow and that it’s Thursday night, take one look at the crowd and the amount of fans who simply don’t want to turn up and watch this rubbish and that should be the trigger alone to sack the manager

We’ve played 9 of our 10 big games against the top 5 so far this season. Man U away to come. We have only really turned up for 1 of them, spurs at home.
We really should have lost at home to Chelsea and we should have lost at home to Liverpool - 2-0 down and we had a 15 minute purple patch but Liverpool dominated us.

Even for our shocking ability in big games that is a new low

He stayed for the Power (and the money) he has at this club. He would have been sacked in double quick time, had he left for the bigger clubs.

What is Wenger going to say now? Back to back 0-3 defeats to the same team.

Michi and Aubameyang are just not interested in this team. They are here for reasons other than loving the club. Unfortunately, Wenger only buys rejects and crocked players.

Saw a journalist say that after being hammered in the press all week, if these players really wanted to play for wenger they would have fought like lions, they may have lost but there would have been some fight. Clearest example that the players want the bloke gone as well

Another fine mess - once again we were outplayed and outfought but at least the score line wasn't as bad as it might have been. Someone recently said we have become Everton, sadly that seems to be very accurate!

City were excellent first half but let’s remember they took a multi million pound squad and spent a further £370m on it in 2 seasons. 2 £50m centre backs as 3rd and 4th choice.

I wouldn’t trust wenger with £1m let alone £370m but City should be this good with the money they have spent

Glad we got rid of that annoying Sanchez so that now the team can show how good they are. It would have been better if City had kept the foot down in the 2nd half. Wenger will tell us that if we had scored the pen it would have been different. After all we only had 2 extra minutes & we looked like scoring another 3 if we had 5 minutes of injury time . Bloody refs.

You will have to start convincing me of Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang worth because they just looked like the rest of the players. I await being told how good Wellbeck was despite never ever looking like scoring.

I'd say Sanchez but Perez was a good player sold for political reasons. This seasons signings shouldn't be judged as they all came with high reputations in Europe before Wenger has absolutely destroyed their confidence

You can't describe Aubameyang as a reject or crock. He came with a huge reputation in Europe, great scoring record and many big clubs have looked at him. We were all excited when he joined but Wenger has destroyed this club from the first team to the support.

The good stats keep coming:
Arsenal have lost more games in all competitions than any other prem team in 2018

Even if arsenal win every prem game left this season we can only equal last seasons total points.

Arsenal have been slowly getting worse season on season but this season we have dropped off a cliff. The sad thing is that with the new deal and the contract sagas in the summer pretty much every single one of us saw all this coming

We cant beat clubs ahead of us in the table. Not even getting a draw we are losing to these sides, home and away a lot.
If, I imagine, Wenger has not been asked to come to Gazidis' office or face Stan's board to answer some questions then it tells me what the ownership of this club is really about. There isn't a side in the EPL or lower divisions, given our exact situation that wouldn't have called Wenger into the office for a chat on the direction and recent results and what he plans to do. To get reassurance.

Stan doesn't know and to some extent doesn't care. The revenue is what he's primarily concerned about. If he wins fine, if he doesn't but it's still profitable, then he can live with it. Does Josh feel the same way? Gazidis, I have to be guessing is upset about this. How much influence with Kroenke does he and the ones who really do care have with Stan?

I can't blame Wenger fully. He's acting according to type. This is Wenger. He is not the owner. He has a boss and that boss is letting him carry on with this. As I've always said, why is everyone upset at an employee whose actions are allowed by his boss? Blame the boss not the employee. The boss is the one who is to blame ultimately.

The fans, as a collective, are the biggest victims....and culprits. Paying the for the most expensive season ticket in the world. And a waiting list for season tickets to see this. Stan sees that. So, when Gazidis or others comes to him and says 'we need changes, we are not 6th and not looking like we will get any better' He will say, 'The fans are willing to pay to come see us. How do you explain the long waiting list for season tickets?'

What answer would you give? The only counter is over time it will dissipate and there will be the loss of the CL money over time.

Maybe he can live with that. He'll ask what are the cost to replace Wenger and can he find someone who can field a good team with the same budgetary mindset on transfers.

Clearly he's not getting a new contract but the question will be if he sees out his current one which would involve him staying another year.

I can't imagine what another season of this would be like but I would envisage shirt and ticket sales might go down a bit. I do wonder if we go out to Milan the club might announce his departure before the end of the season.

One of the sad things is that the players were actually better and more motivated than the cup final, but City were more clinical going forwards and our team's confidence in the collective is GONE.

They don't believe in each other or the manager. I don't think its a lack of effort. I think its a lack of belief and conviction in both the team's quality and the tactical set up. Its so easy for teams to score against us, and we have to work our nuts off to score.

It currently seems incomprehensible that the manager will be here next year, even given Kroenke's love for him.
