It will be no surprise to anyone that arsenal have a table topping 8 individual mistakes leading to goals this season.

We are seemingly too for this stat every season

Ridiculous really. Clear your lines Iwobi

Not a fan of this line up city will dominate

Whatever happens can we please not lose to pathetic mistakes. City are good enough to not be given a helping hand. We’ve actually been much better since getting the equaliser. Guendouzi having a strong game again so far

By the way this is a 4-4-2 by arsenal. Iwobi wife right and Kolasinac wide left.

Ref remembers a nothing tackle from Torreira on de Bruyne and comes back for a yellow. Really harsh that one. You’d have 4-5 players off each game if all those are yellows

Well I said don’t concede to a mistake and we haven’t we’ve conceded to a great passing move. The pressure and constant probing has told.

Hope the heads don’t go down

Was really proud of that display after the first goal. Guendouzi has been outstanding. Shame about the second, fear a bad second half now. Iwobi just not good enough.

If you are going to pick fault at coty’s 2nd goal then Lichtsteiner was over covering his CB leaving sterling with too much space wide left and we fell asleep for the ball to the back post but strikers like aguero are more alive to that kind of ball than 99.9% of defenders in the world.

With Bellerin’s injury a new RB has to now be the No.1 priority in the summer

Lichsteiner was blatantly at fault.............

I wish we were braver in possession instead of just lumping it forward.

Guendouzi is showing some great composure.

The bottom line is that people like Lichsteiner and Mustafi etc are just not at the level required to cope with the pace and movement of a team like City.

Is that Mustafi playing everyone one for the first?

We’ve done pretty well - the opposition have just been a bit too good. But we can’t concede another.

Arsenal CB consistently get out muscled by diminutive strikers.

Where will they finish?

It'll be very tight between them and Chelsea for 4th but I think Chelsea will hang on. We have seized 6th place and with the true British bulldog spirit will not be budged from there until the end of the season.

Rich, if an Arsenal player did the same thing as that after previously being booked, would you support him getting a second yellow as you presumably do with Barnes?

Obviously I wouldn’t want him sent off and I wouldn’t want our player to be the one that gets done when others don’t but if everyone was getting cards for the same then absolutely i want the rules adhered to

Had a feeling you'd say that. But I think you grossly exagerrate the extent to which we're the main victims of poor decisions. We got away with conceding a penalty today that would normally be given.

Sterling has been killing us down the left. Oh well. I'm going to see what's on Netflix or will myself to watch the Super Bowl build up show.

So far not good enough at all. Very poor defensively. Remember Palace beat these guys at Middle East Lands.

Apart from Guendoozie, not one single reason for optimism to be seen out there. Lichsteiner really is completely hopeless. Arsenal as a retirement home is not the way forward, Mr. Emery.

Sterling v Lichtsteiner, it’s too easy. Rarely seen a bigger miss match. At least weak teams give their weak player more protection

Away v the big teams the gulf in class is huge, and we make it look even bigger by lacking any clear game plan to counter the opponents strengths. Quite often our tactics simply play in to the hands of the opposition.

Frustrating to see teams with far less quality put up more of a fight. Why can’t we work out a plan to be more of a threat on a counter attack and more resilient in defence. Plenty of other teams can even if they also lose.

The result today was simply never in doubt.

I'd make Manchester United favourites for fourth place with Chelsea coming fifth. I agree with you about us finishing sixth. I reckon that if we're going to be in next season's Champions League, we'll have to win the Europa League.

It was a bit like us finding ourselves suddenly in 4th place after Chelsea's comical loss to Bournemouth ... a temporary warp in the fabric of the universe before normalcy returns.

We are on the attack and the ball ends up back with Leno. :8angers:

I don’t think I even know what the handball rule is any more. Aguero slides in to score and the ball hits his arm and trickles over the line. He certainly didn’t push his arm towards the ball to push it over the line but if it doesn’t hit his arm he doesn’t score, so there is a big advantage. Should it be handball?

I’m currently in a Cape Town restaurant and watching without sound. It looked like handball to me. What did the commentary team / pundits think?

Not convinced by our line up. 5 at the back just feels like a surrender. No Ramsey is a mistake for me. I’m sure we’ll see ramsey, Suarez and Özil come on once the game is gone.

Pep’s selection is almost laughing at our lack of right hand side, I can’t see a left back in their team, or they are so I afraid of us they are playing a back 3 without wing backs

Seriously worried about this

Spot on about Ramsey. One of the few players we have with BMT and the ability to make things happen against good opposition ... and we bench him.

Another game another payer who needs to go off with an injury. And another CB, mustafi off and Mavropanos on. I’d love to see the stats for in game substitutions due to injury

They seemed to say it was ball to hand and he couldn’t do anything about it hitting him so it shouldn’t be handball. I get the argument but it when the hand scores the goal it just doesn’t seem quite fair

I take it you are on holiday? Give me a shout if you venture into the Eastern Cape.

Depressing stuff really, no fight whatsoever carried to City in the second half. The commentators aren't even bothered to watch the game now, just shooting the breeze about this and that and having a laugh among themselves.

I can't see that happening, sadly. We're just too flaky.

And next season will be more of the same.

Oh. Is that how it works now? Certainly unfair. Although didn’t Kos do something similar last season?

Not a single shot on target 2nd half according to Waddle on the been. Very very poor.
