Grealish on his final warning from the ref for a card....let’s see what happens

Our lack of penetration in the final third is just so frustrating. We get ourselves in promising positions and then.....nothing. No wonder we've scored so few goals.

He’s got talent, undeniably. But he is a complete c... He moans about being fouled but gives it out readily enough.
He’s certainly in my all c eleven. Other notable players in it are Lamela Richarlison Ayew and Zaha and Barnes from Burnley.

Also I do think we’re never in the refs ear enough. Every other team does it. They race to surround the ref on bad fouls of big decisions, we need to make it damn clear to him that we will feel aggrieved if he doesn’t give it, and put pressure on him to give it. Watch how many wolves players ran to the ref for the Luiz incident.

I even got a thing saying that the site’s firewall was blocking me and I had to prove that I’m not a bot (via that horrible sidewalk/traffic lights squares thing).

First time ever.

Site suddenly speeded up.

Just need Arsenal to do the same now.

Doh. As reported by the commentators - incorrect yellow card for Partey.

Relentless isn’t it?

Another soft yellow card for an Arsenal player. Partey in the book this time

Ryan doing a good job. Excellent for a number 2.

Just a reminder that Arsenal commit the fewest fouls per game of any team in the league, just over 9 per game. But when it comes to yellow cards there are 11 clubs with fewer

A surprising (or perhaps not) and thought provoking statistic.

Wow. That was awesome defending by Pépé. Looked like an opportunity to concede a penalty and he came away with the ball so cleanly.

Hmmm - We don't have a firewall that I'm aware of unless the server people are messing with some flood protection of some sort.

I am doing traces now from all areas of the UK. London, Southampton. Manchester now.

That Partey booking was something that has been highlighted greatly with their being no fans in the ground - the booking is basically given because of the scream by the Villa player. I'm not sure players are screaming more than they did, we can just hear them - and maybe the refs can now as well.

It is completely win/win for the screamer. You can't be punished for screaming but you only increase the chance of your opponent being more harshly punished.

Down to refs to not judge a foul by a reaction.

Interesting sub. Changes the shape a bit. Hopefully more attacking and incisive.

Lose this and we're looking at a likely drop back towards 14th once the teams below us catch up in games. If we lose, this and the wolves game will clearly be an end to any outside chance of top 4, but also we'll struggle to get top 6 and therefore no european football next year unless we win Europa

This was given as a foul by lacazette on Martinez. Martinez is pulling lacazette's shirt in to him

It would be great if Partey could get free of his injury problems.

That would explain why when, as he was being substituted, Lacazette was ‘drawing’ a tv screen at the 4th official.

This is what Arsenal fans moan about.
Top image is Saka being fouled today - yellow card.
Bottom image was Arteta fouling someone - red card

It didn't take us long to go back to pre December Arsenal.

New boy should have done much better than that. At least be on bleeding target.

Classic Arsenal - we don't work the GK enough.

2 free kicks on target all season
16% of shots from outside the box on target - Man U have 62%

You can have all the tactics, possession and neat build up play you want but if you can't strike a ball on target it is all for nothing

Ødegaard neither running at players or moving into space.

The problem I have with decisions in often not so much in the decision in itself it is that with so many big decisions that don't go for us we can point to an identical decision that has gone against us.
Penalties, red cards, VAR - it is constant

Another yellow for brainless Xhaka.

Gift them a goal. Then drift ineffectively to defeat. No cutting edge.

A surprising season stat. Xhaka has only picked up 4 yellow cards (if asked I would have got that wrong) whilst Grealish has picked up 10.

Actually Villa’s serial fouling of Saka reminded me of Allardyce’s Bolton.

Well from a bad day at the office back to playing poorly with so many underperformers.

When Xhaka is arguably your second best player (after Saka) you know how bad some others were.

Pépé back to his lazy, wasteful best.

And Willian? What is the point of him?

At least Ødegaard got a couple of chances.

I don't see how this isn't a penalty? It was given as a foul by lacazette. Why can't lacazette try to run in front of the GK? Ignoring the shirt pull, if Martinez is a defender what exactly has Lacazette done wrong? Martinez has a big hold of Lacazattes shirt and just pulls him over. Why does a GK get more protection than a defender?

Can't find any errors with the forum. (I just saw heaps on the pitch though)

Let's see if it's some sort of block due to additional traffic during games maybe.

On Tuesday we could blame a poor refereeing decision and a goalkeeping mindmelt.

Today we can blame Cédric for an under hit backpass, and as Rich pointed out, another refereeing decision that went against us. (Saka through on goal).

It does seem like the Gods are against us this last few seasons.

Silly error conceding early - check
Dominate possession with no penetration- check
Huff and puff knowing we just wont score - check

Seen this type of game so many *%^@*** times.
How the hell can west ham just beat these guys comfortably and we lose to them again.
League double over us. No goals scored.
Embarrassing.
Not taking anything away from Villa. Good team but you just know usually as an Arsenal fan how our games will go from the first few minutes and the way we start.
Very very disappointing.
