Spectacularly brilliant cynicism and underhand thuggery by Ramos there. Dragged him down and round without allowing Salah to protect himself at all. Notably not tangled with anyone else like that.

I’ve never not hated Ramos over the course of any match I’ve watched him in. He’s the guy the mob goes to when they need families bumped off.

Yes it was and he knew exactly what he was doing. We could do with a bit of that attitude.

Nevertheless, Athletico would never have gotten that away goal if he'd been in our defence. He'd have poleaxed Griezmann.

Hmm, shave the head and you never know... Can never make up my mind which is the biggest cheat in world football, Ramos or Ronaldo. Ronaldo probably edges it in the Tom Daley & Tom Cruise categories, Ramos in the sheer cynicism stakes.

True ...

I'm amazed at the amount of tears on offer . I'd be gutted to not be taking further part in the biggest match in your career but blubbing like Salah and Cavalho .... maybe I'm just too cynical .

And the biggest moron in football... step up, Lorius Karius. Benzema offside but what a cock-up. Sergio true to form again, hope his sight can be saved.

Shocker wasn't it. Saved by a poaching goal by Mané after a hail Mary floater of a corner. Amazing what can happen when it clears the first defender.

Sad for him and for the Egyptian fans. I'd not advise Ramos to visit the Pyramids on holiday any time soon.

Nightmare experience for Liverpool: Salah and comedy keeping. Just not their night. We’ve certainly had finals like that. Hard to take and live long in the memory.

I suspect that the idiot who ran on the pitch in Kiev as Ronaldo was trying to score might rather regret that. Some swift Ukraine justice likely to be forthcoming.

Second Bale goal reminds me of Packie Bonner against Wim Yonk, WC 1994. The story goes that in the dressingroom afterwards he put his head in his hands and dropped it.

No no, he would have kicked it into his own head and fallen over. I won’t hear any different.

It’s the fact he’s gone to injure the best player on the other team. The cynicism, even the play acting is one thing, but that’s just horrendous. He’s a Mourinho of a player.

Not one Liverpool player went to Karius for over 3 mins at the end. 3 Real Madrid players did. The guy has just had a nightmare that could destroy his career - and the reaction of his teammate was telling.

Interesting game ... I don't like Real Madrid , like the way Liverpool play but wouldn't want to give their fans anything to crow about .

Feel sorry for their goalie , what was he doing for the third especially , would be a very hard pill to swallow .

Ramos you dirty f**** but all in all probably better to see Madrid celebrating .

Pity we didn't buy Bale instead of Walcott .

Probably worth it if it stopped Ronaldo from taking the shirt off doing the poseur routine

I don't like Ramos and I don t like Real Madrid but that was nothing more than a foul on Salah. Salah went sprawling with him as all forwards do these days with the diving culture.

Indeed. I think his career is over. Milner, Lallana, Arnold and Firminio were terrible. Clearly not as abysmal as Karius but still shite.

Awful game overall, Bale's wondergoal apart.

Everyone knows I'm the least pedantic person in the world. But if he does join it's from Bayer (as in Leverkusen) not Bayern (as in Munich). :icon_mrgreen:

Is this a joke because other than the utube nothing shows about this bloke when I do an internet search & there is nothing on my Arsenal app about a keeper. We definitely need a number 1 for next season.

Feel so bad for the Liverpool keeper. It happens. You just hate to see it happen in the biggest match in club football.
Bale scores an Americangooner-esqe first goal. :icon_mrgreen: I didn't think he would do well in Madrid. I thought he was too British in how he played and would get found out in Spain but credit to him, he's excelled.
Ramos was more WWE than football. I hope he gets denounced in the media for it but I doubt it. The media's head is in Real Madrid's lap most times.

I'm hearing that another German keeper, with PL experience, is available on a free...

I am sure that may be true. Liverpool have had some luck in CL games before & it looks like the karma caught up with them. At least they got to the big day.

It was a joke pointing out that bubblechris wrote Bayern instead of Bayer. The keeper he spoke of plays for Bayer Leverkusen and has never played for Bayern Munich.

I did not explain myself very well. I meant that I could not find much information on the net about this player. I started to wonder if even existed. I saw the YouTube but otherwise he was almost invisible.

I don’t want us to buy a back up keeper I would like a new number 1 because frankly Czech made numerous errors last year and he is starting to show his age.

Why do playoff matches have a trophy associated with it? Yet those who qualify automatically do not? What cup do you call this?

The more I think about it the more I am liking our managerial appointment. With the exception of Allegri from the Old Lady, I don't think I would want anyone else now that I think about it. Ancelotti is used to big budgets at big squads. Not sure if he can manage a club like ours.
