My feeling is that we veered around from good to bad and back again repeatedly in quick time. At least we’ve kept the opposition guessing and not letting them have it comfortable.

Considering our first 11 it’s been decent so far.

How many of their subs bench would get in our first 11 do you reckon? I think 4

Substitutes
1Arrizabalaga
5Jorginho
6Thiago Silva
10Pulisic
14Chalobah
17Saúl
18Barkley
22Ziyech
29Havertz

Overall it’s been much better than I could have anticipated, although I had been hoping that we could get up for a big game (which we have).

Surely Jorginho for xhaka and silva for holding too ?

I actually don’t mind Holding and think Silva is miles past his best against quicker strikers. Jorginho haven’t seen for a while so can’t quite recall his play.

How unusual. You’re normally so complimentary about referees. :42laughter:

I think Alonso must be one of my most hated current footballers. Can't stand the guy

Mental game.

He has no variation in his game but at least Eddie offers you a threat

I just don't understand so many of his decisions. He obviously has history with us but I think all round he's just a terrible, terrible ref. I can happily admit that refs like Michael Oliver and Anthony Taylor are not too bad. They'll make mistakes but they aren't fundamentally bad refs

To be fair to Lacazette, he was the first one out to celebrate the goal with Nketiah there!

Oh yes. It was a tongue in cheek song reference from me.

Some really nervous moments, but I'm enjoying this. We're well up for it, and have a real chance of winning at Stamford Bridge.

Sure feels like it.

I see that they’ve had 2 shots on target, and we’ve had 3. Big improvement in our conversion rate.

James has moved to right wing back - Tavares is going to need to have a great game here on in.

I'd almost be tempted to bring Saka over to our left to help him but then Chelsea have just as much threat on their left!

Well done there Holding. Exposed on the wing and liable to be skinned he dealt with it well.

It’s never ending :1laughter:

When its all over purgatory is probably another thousand years of supporting Arsenal. This is unbearable

yeah that was very good because Werner is rapid and Holding....isn't. It was all about body positioning to ensure he didn't need to be quicker than Werner
