Well, the ref is clearly not going to help us at all here.

It’s really painful watching tonight. You can just see the confidence draining away.

Not a single one of our players having a good game.

Xhaka has done well at left back so far but I’m not sure we can play him in that position for the rest of the season.

Saka to left back and Emile on the right?

Lots of misplaced passes, but I can hardly remember Ødegaard even having a touch

Great chance. Weak effort.

First real chance of the game, Smith-Rowe couldn't find the finish.

Don't really like the idea of our best attacking player going to left back

Me neither but the alternative isn’t great

Ødegaard with another one. If we can't put these kind of chances away it's not going to happen

To be fair in the run of games he's had Cédric hasn't let anyone down. He's up against Zaha tonight, one of the toughest wingers in the league, I can;t recall Zaha skinning him. The drop off from Tierney and Tomiyasu is not what we'd want but there are bigger issues with the performance than just at full back. Partey has gone from dominating midfields every week to poor touches and being closed down and struggling to impact the game at all. When we struggle to get the ball from the back in to midfield and then the midfield struggle to keep hold of it when we do the front 4 are isolated and can't get in the game - we don't really have the players to go direct like Liverpool would for example

Edit:Duplicate post

Cédric has won 6 out of 7 games since he came in. The one game lost was Liverpool. I can't recall Cédric being at fault for any goal in that run. We know he's not as good as Tomiyasu but Cédric hasn't let us down in the run.

Just far too many players having poor games. Partey, Ødegaard, Gabriel, Tavares particularly poor and Emile Smith Rowe, Saka, Lacazette not influencing the game.

The score line reflects the performance

Weird way to say it. Cédric played in the team that won 6 times. He was average at best, and out of relief that he’d be awful he got undue praise as far as I could see.

Just gets worse. Partey looks crocked and now there’s a penalty.

The pen just sums us up. Ødegaard has been pony tonight.

Why the *%^@ are we playing Saka and Martinelli as wingbacks!!!!!!!

White and Gabriel have been utter shite as well.

This has been terrible. When we needed to ramp it upwe have been found wanting. This may have repercussions.

VAR or not, they'll just side with the onfield ref. Ours wasn't given, theirs was.

We're getting nothing from this game.

Which is exactly what we deserve.

The international break has killed our momentum.

That is a penalty that we would just not get - no doubt in my mind. How many times have Saka and Pépé been tripped like that?

Basically that’s it. And how we have to see it.

Slight worry at the back of my mind that we’re not going to make this run in now. Tierney and Partey are irreplaceable in this team. Albeit Tavares will be better with a run of games.

Top 4 is going to be incredibly tough. We don't have the necessary squad depth.

It was the injury that caused him to lose the ball even before he tried to give chase.

This game could kill our season.
Tierney likely out for the season
Tomiyasu still out
gabriel with a shocker
partey with a shocker and now injured
Ødegaard with a shocker and gives away a pen
poor passing, poor touches, mistakes all over the pitch

How on earth is that not a foul on Saka - Clyne is just on the floor and rugby tackles him down

Unbelievable. Even when the gk spills one we can;t smash it home as they scramble it off the line somehow - not our night. Smash it anywhere else and its a certain goal

That's what queries me. Might this be the game that ruins our season.
