Cut out the hysteria it adds nothing to the discussion. There is very little contact. I can well see why the ref called it the way he did. Personally I thought it was a peno. Similar to the won Salah got last week against City.

Your last line says it all though....similar to plenty of penalties given this season.

Watch the Luiz pen then watch the contact all over Saka.

Have to beat the 11 plus the ref

Wow. I thought that the chance had gone, several times. Well done Saka. Great team goal.

Saka imperious Leeds are terrified whenever he gets the ball he rightly so. So pleased for Bellerin.

Love that Bellerin made Alioski look like a total mug there as well. Alioski had been saying he was looking forward to seeing ‘his mate Pépé’ again.

You can enjoy stuff without calling everyone out all the time I think? I mean we’re tenth. Some criticism might have been warranted now and again this season.

Do you think Leeds are paying or bribing the officials? Or do you think The Premier League have instructed referees to give decisions for Arsenal’s opposition?

I actually thought on watching the replays of the first penalty it was a bit on the soft side, but given some of the penalties that have been given recently, it seems unfortunate that they decided to overturn it.
Saka has become our best player.

Saka has been outstanding yet again. Can’t think of many better at his age in the world right now.

Ødegaard is so good on the ball, knitting things together really well

By the way Leeds gk wasn’t booked for his foul on Saka for the pen. Small things but if the gk doesn’t foul Saka, Saka is on the ball 16 yards from goal, gk well out of position. That’s a pretty dangerous situation, it has to be a yellow

It felt like a little bit of slow-motionitus. In real time Saka was through on goal and the defender came across him and took him down, in slo-mo it was ooh, I’m not sure there was enough contact.

Anyway, it doesn’t matter because Saka is the second coming of whoever you like and just won’t be denied. W

Couple of covering defenders and he was facing away from goal. But I’m all for the oppo getting more yellows as they should have done this season.

The non penalty was a push. The sort that is a free kick anywhere else on the pitch and often given as a penalty.

Where I get really frustrated is the VAR thing. I had thought that it was to overturn clear and obvious errors. Well the initial decision certainly wasn’t that.

Oddly it hasn’t affected the outcome. Because it would have all been different from there and we might not have seen the other two goals. And I did enjoy the last one particularly.

Fair enough.

I come back to the point that we’re tenth though. I don’t think criticism, even criticism I’d consider harsh, can be considered lunacy.

Am I missing something but it’s exactly this

Well done LTG :58big-emoticons:

They will get a weaker decision in the second half I bet

We have fans that PRAY we don’t get penalties

Time to reconsider that thought

We ain’t perfect but time to reconsider the state our fans get themselves in :58big-emoticons:

I’ll repeat myself. Do you think Leeds are paying or bribing the officials or do you feel the Premier League have instructed referees to favour Arsenal’s opposition. If you think the game is corrupt, you must believe one of them. So which is it?

Oh whoosh. Great start to the second half by Saka. He’s on fire.

And first ever PL hat trick for Aubameyang.

Do we? Really?

I think you assess Arteta at the end of next season and up until then you stay calm so long as we aren’t relegated, which I’ve asserted several times..

Anyway this is a whole different discussion. Up the Arse, we’re flying right now! 4-0!!!

You said the game was corrupt. So what makes the game corrupt if it’s not one of those options?

You could pretty well say that about all of his touches. Very clever, very effective, very dangerous. Gives the opposition a lot to think about.
