Yes he does Rich. Bissouma and a another man in his 40s both involved. It was at a nightclub in Brighton back in October. Still under investigation.

So much for Test match cricket being boring! Tomorrow all four results are possible. The great Vaughan fancies England to win, and he is often a good judge, but having lost our last five first innings wickets for just 29 runs, who could ever be confident?

Even I was tempted to look in at the final stages.

Yes, he was the one out of Ferguson's men that I would have loved to see as an Arsenal player. No hype - a sort of superior Ray Parlour type.

This is all based on biased emotion mind you, but players I would never want to wear the Arsenal shirt from Man Utd:

Scholes
Rooney
Evra
Giggs
Schmeichel

Players I'd actual take for a variety of reasons, one is a shocker:

Keane
Ferdinand
Gary Neville
RVN..yes, shockingly, I'd take him. I know...I know.
Carrick
Van Der Sar

Of course Bernard. And as standard, FA/EFL Cup fixtures, WC one month in November. Fixtures subject to change naturally.

What the gentle start may mean of course is that more matches against difficult opponents could be concentrated towards the end of the season, making our run in harder than teams we’re competing with for a top four place.

Must also of course allow for any injuries that will impact any domestic/EL matches. Depending on which players get call ups to the WC, can expect anything.

I suppose a first away match to Brighton is favoured over a derby match against WHU as an early season opener. :angel8:

Sport at its best - from a truly unfavourable position in the match flakey England finding a backbone when needed. I'd like to know the last time England won a Test after conceding 500 in the first innings.

I'm assuming Brighton didn't suspend him as he was still playing. Unlike Mason Greenwood who's still suspended at MU and his case is still under investigation.

In direct contrast. Sport very definitely not at its best.

England plodding away against Hungary. So tedious and dull.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement, is it LTG? Sounds like an issue that still has plenty of legs.

In these days of political correctness and Me Too sensitivities, THFC will need to be careful how they sell this to their fans. It isn't just the cost to the Club's reputation. Mendy cost Citeh £52m but he has no value now. Mason Greenwood was one of the brightest prospects in the EPL but there's serious doubt that he'll ever play again. Adam Johnson for Boro?

Some of the criticism on Southgate seems a bit harsh. The first England manager to get us to a final in years

An utterly stupid competition and a stupid idea.

It’s beyond mere populism now. They’re attacking the clergy for speaking out about the immorality of this policy. They attack judges, experts, basically anyone who questions the policies of this government. They have the largest majority in years and get whatever they need through parliament, yet are still attacking “remainers” for their own Brexit *%^@ up. They lie with absolute impunity, knowing the UKIP vote they swallowed will lap up every single morsel of this nastiness. This has gone beyond populism and is dangerously close to the fascist playbook. It’s a deliberate us and them, divisive kind of politics. This really is the most dangerous, authoritarian government we’ve ever had in my lifetime. They’ve taken our freedom of movement, our right to protest etc. and now they want to come for the ECHR. They are literally trying to take away human rights to steamroller their agenda.

The UK is *%^@** under these crooks.

The irony is that this is a populist government that isn't popular.

They are a cabinet of dullards who are desperately short on talent. But then, if only Brexiteers can be selected, it isn't surprising.

Yes, regardless of the undoubted progress made, the binary world we live in seemingly can't accept a lost football match. Maybe Southgate and Mancini can share a gibbet?

I suppose the rather unpleasant lesson of history is that 'populists' operate by undermining institutions rather than maintaining large majorities.

Watching Boris justifying the Rwanda policy yesterday, with nodding lackeys on either side ... it does boggle the mind that people actually voted for him. He is so transparently shameless.

I agree with Darren - this is getting really dangerous. Boris and his cronies do not respect criminal convictions, votes of confidence, legal judgements or international law. They push on remorselessly and shamelessly with their increasingly bizarre economic policies that are creating real hardship and poverty. They do what they want. They are, in effect, beyond control.

Boris is World King.

This is correct. They are politically protected by brexit without consequences and they don’t even need to worry if they are popular or not as at the next general election they use media influence to smear the opposition just like boris did with Sunak.

Just look at the by elections and why they are taking place, one geezer for looking at tractor porn in commons the other being a convicted nonce. I mean heaven on earth.

The most frustrating thing is it paints Brit’s …… sorry specifically the English ! As being little minded, xenophobic, lazy bigots when the truth is it’s the opposite. Most people I know don’t think this way, work bloody hard for their living and just want to pay their mortgage and live a simple life without having this bile forced down their throat. It’s just not representative of the UK

Boris Johnson is a dreadful Prime Minister and hopefully he will be gone soon. We need a better person in the job. However, to describe his government as fascist is to devalue the reality of people who actually lived under dictators such as Hitler, Mussolini, Chiang Kai-shek, Showa Japan and Franco. We can be assured "partygate" would never have seen the light of day under those regimes!

So much for the bs that said the FA were trying to avoid big teams playing each other in the 6 weeks leading up to the WC. Mind you they might not rate us a big team.

I'm no lawyer, but has Johnson been criminally convicted? Morally he has hit the bottom, and should pack his bags and go, but regrettably he, nor the majority of his MPs haven't had the moral compass to do the right thing. It is another thing altogether though to claim we are living under, or heading towards, a fascist state!

Done like a kipper again.
Tough Friday night away in London again.
Check out spurs last 10 or so games compared to ours.
They have utd home and Liverpool away. That's it.
We have Liverpool away City away West ham away and Chelsea at home.
That is a shocking comparison.

Doesn’t every club play every other club twice in a league?

We need to lose the victim mentality and grow some.

Well said. We have 4 winnable games to finish. Accept responsibility for how we play for 38 games.

I didn’t say that, Old Man.

I said that because this government is cynically dismissive of legal sanctions, confidence votes, court rulings, public opinion - and now, advice from its own Ethics Supremo, they are effectively beyond control.

Completely agree with both of you. As LTG says we should try and give up this persecution complex. Albeit he called it a victim mentality.

The last four games are Newcastle (A), Brighton (H), Forest (A) and Wolves (H).

I accept Newcastle may well strengthen their team. But nobody knows by how much. As things stand, as Gaz says they look winnable. Can’t ask for more than that.

Thanks Gents for your morning testosterone!
Just my opinion.
Bit too coincidental for my liking that two seasons in a row we have started the season away to a london side on a friday night.
What’s the odds on that?
