Maybe I'm wrong but I assume most gooners and EPL fans are cheering for Inter as most hate City and their dominance and their money.
I'm actually hoping they'll win. Only because I hate Man Utd so much but wouldn't mind if they get it all stripped later on after the fact.

If we had won the title Kroenke and assuming his NBA team the Denver Nuggets will win the title, he would have been the first person to win an EPL title, NBA title, Super Bowl, NHL ice hockey title.

Inter had a very good strategy of Italian style stifling defense especially crowding the playmaker and Mourinho esque cynical defending, niggly fouls, faking injuries, etc till City finally got an opening.

The game really picked up after City scored. Both sides should have scored at least a couple goals. Not sure how Inter missed both their gilded chances.

Inter made a great account of themselves.

No not me, I’m glad they’ve done it, and hope they repeat it next year and the year after. Maybe then the powers that be will finally wake up to how destructive this is to the game as a whole.

That type of appeasement policy didn’t work in the 1930s/40s though. The time to kick them out is now.

Cancelo is a weird one, like Zinchenko he is brilliant technically but he can't defend. Pep realised as much and they are stronger without him.

I’m hoping for a Colombian cartel to take Scunthorpe all the way to a CL win to highlight how skewed the game is.

Inter were really good tonight and gace City a right game but they had no cutting edge.

That guy Martinez looks bang average, Dzeko is past it and Lukaku is, well, Lukaku.

Not Scunthorpe. Anyone but Scunthorpe.

I get what you’re saying, but history tells me different. The Premier League don’t have the guts to do the right thing. We got 2 points taken off, United 1. And we were the less guilty. That’s evidence enough for me.

What has always pissed me off is how the media avoids mentioning that City and Chelsea's titles were directly tied to having sugar daddies. It's not even part of the conversation.

If the Saudis buy Man Utd its game over.

Inter could have pulled it off. I was surprised at how many gilded edged chances they had at equalizing. In fact, I can't see how they didn't score. City (Foden I think) had a clear 1 on 1 with their keeper and should have scored but you expected that from City with the season they had.

Inter were tactically very astute. Fair play to them.

Thanks, Guardian. Yes, Poirot himself would struggle to untangle the mysteries of the Manchester City timeline over the decades: nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, injection of billions, passage of a few years, Champions League trophy. It's a beautiful and mesmerising tale.

Absolutely vital we got Saliba signed up. Keeping the core of this team together is crucial if we want to build on the progress we've made this season. Plus it makes us a much more attractive proposition when we try and convince new players to join. Given Edu and Arteta's record of signing players who've clearly improved us, I'm so intrugued to see who they go for next.

Question for fellow season ticket holders:

Am I correct in thinking our season tickets are being automatically renewed? The email from the club seems to say that but I cant quite believe it!

My advice would be to ignore the auto renewal and just use the app to renew in advance bored. What I did. Screams like something that will go wrong.

Random old match between West Ham and Man Utd. So many names: Redknapp, Robson, Law, Best, etc

I'd agree with TG, Bored.

The website may be clunky and the availability of information isn't great, but the actual renewal process isn't difficult.

Agree, this is how I renewed mine too. Felt safer. You could say I didn't trust the process.

Next season's fixtures come out on Thursday. I wonder if we'll find ourselves away to a promoted team on the Friday night game again? Perhaps our performances have pushed us past that and someone like Chelsea can now get that slot as sky salivate over an opening night upset - random fixture generator indeed!

One of the promoted teams will play away at one of the real big boys as well (usually Liverpool)

Make sure you are logged in. I know this sounds obvious but sometime I think I am but not.

Click on profile in the top right hand corner and it will give you a bunch of options including “tickets” this should take you to the box office and give you an option to renew your season ticket. The amount they provide stupidly wont include any credits you are owed for using ticket exchange or not having a cup game hence credit but you will see this when you go to pay with your debit card.

Hope this helps bored

I renewed through the website on the PC, not the app.

Check the email you received (mine were dated 31/05/2023) and hit one of the links - 'UPDATE DETAILS' worked for me I think but there are several other link options to get to your account.

As TG says, you just need to be logged in.

I've seen it with ex uni or NBA players at Venice Beach, CA or some park known for having fairly good quality play.

I wonder who this guy is. Shows you how those Sunday pub leagues are when a 'ringer' is on one of the sides.

Bit of noise about Pep walking away from city in 2025, 2 more years. He’s said previously he wants to manage a national team. If that’s true then there’s two things for us. 1) make sure we’ve tied Arteta down so they can’t pinch him and two make sure we’re perfectly placed to take advantage. The age profile of the squad should be peaking around then if we can keep them all together

Even though I was a defender in my time, and I agreed with George’s disciplined back 4, I’ve always believed that a mobile, defensively offensive, fast paced, intelligent midfield was the key to success. And we had an England schoolboy midfielder in our school team, who was our best player, but when he played for England, we were like WOW! Didn’t know he was that good.

So anyway, IF we sign Rice and Caicedo, we’ll be unstoppable.

Fingers and toes crossed.

He would be the perfect choice for them, was respected at city, knows their style and would slot right in if nothing had changed. Theres no doubt they would try. Strikes me as a stubborn type though and he probably would only leave if he was wronged

Mbappe has said he won’t sign a new deal with PSG. His deal runs out in 2024 so PSG need to sell this summer if they want a fee. With Benzema having left for Saudi it feels inevitable that he ends up there

There are only 4 clubs he will go to: Either Spanish giants, Bayern Munich or City.

That's it. The best of the best only go to one of 5 clubs. The above and PSG. That's it.

Plus a £5m signing on fee.

It does sound a lot for a largely unproven talent who Arteta is yet to really show he trusts.

Must be impressing in training.

Won't be easy to shift on that kind of money if he fails to live up to expectations.
