I think it might be ok now but I will still need to look into updating this old forum software at some stage.

There is no upgrade path now and the webhosts have available very old superseded legacy plugins to keep it running (which is why I have stayed with these guys). The previous crowd one day out of the blue said for security reasons we are updating and when they did that, it broke the site - which is why we moved it a few years back.

The forum has been migrated to another server to try and stop any further problems with it not responding etc.

The webhost has been under attack for our IP range on our shared server so it's been moved to another IP.

Although we have not been attacked, counter measures taken by the web host for its other sites was causing downtime occasionally for some members.

Users may need to log back in again. Let me know if anything seems broken.

Our webhosts have detected a problem with the server we share and have seen that it has been under attack some evenings which causes IP blocks.
*It is not our forum under attack, but someone else on this shared service.

I have asked them to move the site over to a new server to mitigate this.

This is why random IP's have been blocked in the past but not showing in any logs I can check as these guys are manually chasing down the 'baddies'
and blocking them.

They're shouldn't be any downtime or other effects. I will post when it is completed and see if any problems arise.
