Thanks LTG. I missed you lot!

Please be wary of a server overload from sheer unnecessary misery at around 9.30pm :58big-emoticons:

If Leno does anything apart from emulate Lev Yasmin a massive server overloaded will occur

Imagine my surprise on logging back on to see TG involved in a few arguments, and American informing us all about his rampant love life.

Hi

You can visit here and see your IP : https://whatismyipaddress.com

I think it might be ok now but I will still need to look into updating this old forum software at some stage.

There is no upgrade path now and the webhosts have available very old superseded legacy plugins to keep it running (which is why I have stayed with these guys). The previous crowd one day out of the blue said for security reasons we are updating and when they did that, it broke the site - which is why we moved it a few years back.

Yes - They put us onto a different one a few hours ago 'cause the old one was getting hammered with hackers and such (unrelated to us).

This new one is zippy fast and hopefully won't get attacked causing any more IP blocks.

It's ok now. If you're online and not blocked, I don't need it. I would only need an IP address if you can't access the site.

If you cannot access the site, it would mean that the web hosts might have blocked you.
I can check for blocks but not when they manually block a remote IP address to mitigate an attack.

What a tragic situation. Arsenal has more chance of coming right than they do of dislodging those corrupt thugs, sadly.

The webhost has been under attack for our IP range on our shared server so it's been moved to another IP.

Although we have not been attacked, counter measures taken by the web host for its other sites was causing downtime occasionally for some members.

Users may need to log back in again. Let me know if anything seems broken.

See how we go now.

Thanks Warrior,

Everyone knows your salary makes Özil look like a pauper but when you aren't partying or test driving the latest Ferrari (and can be bothered to get out of bed) you do a half decent job on here.

The web hosts are doing some updates and attempting some security patches at the moment which is causing a few errors.

Should be done now.

Tech stuff - The old forum (this one) uses Php 5.5 - and newer versions of PhpBB requires Php 7.1

This means that they cannot install any newer software on this service ;-(

Have to come up with another plan.

Anyway ....

If you were offered Arsenal being 4-1 in the 60th minute and Arteta bringing on Willian right now, would you take it?

Our webhosts have detected a problem with the server we share and have seen that it has been under attack some evenings which causes IP blocks.
*It is not our forum under attack, but someone else on this shared service.

I have asked them to move the site over to a new server to mitigate this.

This is why random IP's have been blocked in the past but not showing in any logs I can check as these guys are manually chasing down the 'baddies'
and blocking them.

They're shouldn't be any downtime or other effects. I will post when it is completed and see if any problems arise.

I think you will find it was Ash me & Socrates trying to bring the Arteta cult to its knees. Drat we will try something else now.

Unbelievable. How did Aubameyang miss that?

It could feature in a bloopers video.

You forgot Xhaka he's not what you'd call a defensive midfielder. In fact today he is our midfield.

The defenders want to get up front too ffs Leno will be the only one in our half soon.

ffs Aubba

So you're calling Xhaka a forward?

So Xhaka 'is our midfield' but he's a forward. Ok then.

I like this front line on paper. Smith-Rowe should play high up the pitch, he's at his best when making runs in behind the defense, and Ødegaard can drop a little deeper and carry the ball forward. Our attack seems to have a good balance to it.

Good solid bit of defending there by Luiz. Nicely managed the situation.

I'm actually agreeing with something Karen Carney is saying in that we lose something with Smith Rowe on the left rather than in the 10 pocket.
