Only slightly better than the infamous Pires/Henry penalty.

Sigh. Red for Torreira with just seconds left.

Pen against us that shouldn't have been given, pen missed by us... how have we not won this.
Now a red for Torreira - harsh.

LLoris could have thrown his cap on that.

Fucming about the red. If it was then what about Rose studs in to Leno’s stomach.
Absolute joke of a biased ref at the end.
Neither pen should have been given. Arsenal had the game by the scruff of the neck when he gifted spurs a way back in

He had miss written all over his face as he placed that ball. Pathetic penalty. There goes fourth place for now. Gift horse, mouth etc...

Spurs lucky as hell. Missed chances. Anthony Taylor being as utterly incompetent as usual. Both pens were a joke. Red card dubious, total inconsistency in decision making throughout the match

We can justly blame the ref (a knob) and Aubameyang and Lacs who really need to do better than that in big game. Waste. :8angers:

Shocking penalty by Aubameyang would be interested to see if Vertongen was encroaching as well he got back so quick.

Pleased with the battling performance, so close to a great win against a very good side. Ultimately, a poor decision by the linesman; a daft foul by Mustafi and two poor finishes by our strikers cost us 3 points. Lacazette has to be disappointed with that miss around the hour mark, didn't even come close.

Sokratis, Leno, Kos and Monreal were exceptional and Iwobi and Mikitaryan also deserve credit for a good performance.

Was never a red, Rose ran into Torriera.

Before the game I'd have taken 1-1. Now it feels like 2 points lost.

Yes Vertongen clearly well into the box before the pen was taken. Another bad decision.

Plus Vertonghen massively encroaching on pen, and then blocks the rebound. But again, magically no one sees it...

Was wondering if someone would mention that! Never mind encroaching he could have blocked the penalty he was that far in. How else could he have been goalside for the immediate second chance. *%^@ me that's so frustrating :8angers:

Hope Emery's English improves over the summer, he's a hard listen! No idea really what he just said.

Gut feeling is that will be the difference between champions league and not. The gift of a pen and not sending of rose for studs up on Leno are two awful decisions that decided the draw instead of arsenal win.

Proof that emery knows what he’s doing the selection and tactics were perfect. Spurs only had 3 shots on target all game, 1 pen and the two that Leno saved in quick succession.

Spurs still have to go to City and Liverpool.

We need to get a win over Utd next week. Hopefully lessons have been learned and we won't open up the flanks for their speedy wingers.

Massive disappointment because we missed chances and were cheated, but a good point. If we can avoid more injuries I still fancy us to squeak 4th. Hopefully Dortmund can do us a favour and take out a couple of their key players, because Spurs look to be wobbling

If this team continues to play all future matches with the belief, drive and energy like today, then today is a great start to a resurgent Arsenal. It was a good team performance.

Everyone knows Kane is a diving prick but really Mustafi must go, he is just brainless and always has to try too hard in the wrong situation, also I'd be tempted to let Aubemeyang go, he is just not clinical, despite his goal scoring record he lacks composure too often, Lacazette is the better striker.

I noticed a lack of aggression on our part especially in the first half. The Spuds dark arts fooled Taylor every time. You could clearly see lacazette being physically manhandled and pushed off the ball right in front of the ref and no action was taken by him.

It’s just Mustafi every single time isn’t it.

I wonder how many lost goals he’s directly responsible for over the last 2 seasons

So frustrating

Very encouraging performance.
But ever so frustrating. I knew we would rue that missed Lacazette chance at 1 0.
We were excellent today.
Frustrated about that offside penalty.
How does the linesman not *%^@*** see that.
Aubameyang.
Kind of had the feeling he would miss. So disappointing. You kinda get the feeling that *%^@ kane will always score his.
I don't know what that dick pochettino was watching but after the game saying they were better than us today was embarrassing. They were lucky to get a bloody point.
I would have taken a point before the game but a stoppage time penalty is a gift you have to take.
Last 3 league performance very encouraging.
We seem to have come out a bad spell and look fresher and more fluid.
So frustrating to see utd get a late win but glad to see spurs are now thoroughly in a top 4 fight when 7 days ago they had 3rd sewn up.
That's a good thing.
I think sokratis has been excellent.
Need to keep him fit

Aubameyang was crapping himself about that penalty. He’s normally confident. Should have let Xhaka take it

Vertonghen encroaches on that penalty by about 5 yards, and guess who it is who makes the goal line clearance?

He just doesn't have a brain for defending, in terms of ability he's possibly quite decent but he just makes reckless, poor decisions so often, Kane is a sly c*nt and was always going to go down once touched, I mean Kos has him covered goal side anyway, just a poor decision, we should just take the hit and get rid of him in the summer, even if we only get £15M back on our £35M investment..

Losing torreira for 3 games is a travesty. I can’t see any point appealing because it probably is a foul but the ref is incredibly harsh especially seeing what is let go against us every week and even more so when you see the tackle Rose put in on Leno, which even then should have been his second yellow following a shameless dive in the first half. (I know, I spurs player diving - shocking eh?)

I literally do not care about the moans of how VAR disrupts the game, it will get better and quicker, I care far more about getting the important decisions right.

Arsenal were cheated on so many occasions today.
A dodgy pen v spurs is an absolute given nowadays - it’s almost like when we used to play ferries Man U and they’d always get a dodgy pen against us
I’ve already talked about Rose
The Aubameyang pen should not have been given but then we have vertonghen’s encroachment which helps him make the goal line clearance.

It makes me despair that officials in certain situations have only 1 or 2 things to rule on, not like the majority of open play. At a set piece the lino can position himself perfectly and can antipate exactly when the ball comes in they are the easiest offsides to spot.
At a penalty the lino checks of a gk stays on his line (his only job) and the ref only needs to look at encroachment, an unsportsmanlike stop start run up and the kicker doing a double kick.

This really isn’t difficult and it is incompetence like this which is why we need VAR desperately.

Pochettino brushed off the offisdepenalty for spurs by saying they should look at thefoul by Xhaka on Kane than wasn’t given after 12 minutes (he was that specific)
Because a run of the mill foul in the middle of the pitch at 0-0 is absolutely equal to a mistake for a penalty in the 75th minute with the score at 1-0. Idiot
