Why not David? Think of all the times two right footers have played together in central defence, which is the same principle. Adams and Keown for example.

Arteta has a strong young squad to build on.

I thought we played really well, especially down the left, but boy do we need to find some ruthlessness from somewhere.

Loads of really good crosses and situations but just not that final bit of quality to finish the move off.

Heart of a lion, reminds me a bit of Stuart Pearce.

Don’t get the raving about their goal. It’s a flukey flick that came Off rather than wrapping your foot round it. It’s odd that it wasn’t blocked but one of the greatest ever premier league goals my arse from an extremely inconsistent player who’s a complete a****** to boot !!

Bale on the right is offering Doherty zero support. Expect Maureen to try and do something about our total dominance down that side.

I will get stick for this. But I think Lacazette is not putting in his best. His body language is telling.

Happy for him to have Goal of the Season so long as the records say it was scored by a player who was sent off while playing for the losing team.

Pépé up front would put the shite up them but it'll probably be Aubameyang.

Did I say I'd joined the 'we must get Ødegaard' brigade?'

Substitution makes sense

Saka has looked a bit out of sorts in his last 2 games and has payed a lot of football

Wouldn't be surprised if Saka has a knock, otherwise hard to see why he's been hooked at half time.

Smith Rowe is up there with Tierney in teams of intensity and dynamism.

Heart is everything however on his technique. Very rarely can you see a cross or ball into the box from him that isn’t intended to reach someone. That was a perfect pick out. Compare to some of Bellerin crossing where basically it’s usually just tossed in there.

Yeah, I guess the thing about him is that he doesn't do the 'fancy' stuff, it's just determination and excellent execution. His crossing is brilliant game after game.

It’s not like he’s doing it every week though is it. He can’t even get in their side.

Plus he’s a massive nobber

Hi Bernard

Think it’s odd if he has said that. He must have played Luiz and Holding together quite a few times. Both right footed. So as I say, in principle what’s the difference?

Due to cultural and social pressures, many left-handed and footed children were forced to write and perform other activities with their right hands. This conversion can cause multiple problems in the developing left-handed child, including learning disorders, dyslexia, stuttering and other speech disorders. Might not be best to play 2 of them in the middle of our defence

Ah so all left footed players are at an inherent disadvantage. :8surprise:

Yeah. Two Bradys in midfield would have been awful. :laughing7:
