HT 0-0. Not enough from us. We need to be forcing the issue more. At this rate I can see this petering out in to another 0-0 which will suit Newcastle down to the ground.

Dominating the ball, a few wayward shots but not enough sustained pressure and quality and their GK hasn't had that much to do

Bad may be over egging it. But it’s the sort of opportunity that you would expect someone of his ability to put away.

I've seen the chance now, missed it earlier, he should definitely score. I know it has come quickly but he has a clear sight of it and there is quite a lot of room for error to just kind of bundle it or misshit it in. Amazing how quick the confidence can drain away

It looks worse when it’s slowed down but at the time I didn’t consider it easy, it came at him very quickly. It’s just not running for him at the moment.

He’s back!!!!!

Aubameyang.

And he actually looked like he was going to score, long before the ball hit the net.

First time he got a decent ball. Well done Partey

No matter what anyone says he’s a very good finisher. Just needs that early ball that makes the most of his movement and runs

I've never heard anyone say he's not a good finisher.

Really, I’ve seen some total nonsense written about him since his lean spell.

For a team and manager facing a huge rebuild those two youth team players are an absolute huge bonus for us and Arteta.

Emile Smith Rowe has that thing most of the great players have where he seems to know what he’s going to do with the ball before he takes receipt of it. Fabregas had it in abundance, just that awareness

That's the type of team goal I like to see from us. Emile Smith Rowe mighty composed and Saka too!

It is wonderful to watch players who want to make something happen as opposed to letting the game drift.

What an improvement this half.
1st half we had 7 shots and only 1 on target
20 mins in the second half a further 7 shots and 4 on target

I think Cédric has done pretty well down that flank. Holding has also done a pretty good job on Carroll so far

Head up football, a picture of everything on the pitch and an ability to play on the half turn.

If anyone watched MOTD2 last night Shearer actually did some simple analysis of Kane's ability to play on the half turn.

Elneny has come on for Partey. Sensible to protect him with some important games coming up

Absolutely

Cesc had it more than any player I’ve seen where he was constantly looking around and aware of where his teammates were on the pitch.

Are Arsenal right backs taught to foul throw?

Ridiculous
