What I like about this is that there are some guys who never played in an NLD but a footballer knows instinctively they are in a derby. The atmosphere around the club is different. The veteran players are acting differently.
This transcends all sports. There is just that atmosphere that leaves you no doubt it's more than important and places in the standings doesn't matter.

I've been saying for ages, lack of talent wasn't the root cause before, but good ol' fashion belief and mental toughness.
If we can get our 1st half game anywhere close to the 2nd half, then I may...just may...start thinking...nah...I don't want to even put it to voice (or paper).

Doesn't matter what anyone thinks about the decisions leading to their goals, nobody can look at this game and say anyone but Arsenal deserved points. We dominated them for almost all of the 90 minutes. Best performance of the season for me, we made Tottenham look utterly clueless.

Easily my favourite result since the FA cup final.

Do feel somewhat sorry for Foythe, or more like I’m glad Pochettino is playing him but I don’t know why. He scored i think 2 goals in a cup game and looked suspect defensively. He’s Argentinian like Pochettino and I can’t see why else he’s playing. Not ready at all for games like this and we benefited today. Alderwierald sitting on the bench running down his contract - we should go in for him. Tottenham coping better than I thought they would with squad issues but cost them today.

Happy for Torreira to finally get his goal. And in the right game, at the right time.

Even better that is was ‘only’ £25m, and it was a release clause so Torreira was completely available to every team richer than us and is more than affordable to quite a few teams less rich than us.

Remember Torreira next time Jose moans about not being given enough money when he spent £50m on Fred and doesn’t even start him.

No place for Özil today with a ‘back spasm’ and Ramsey with 6 assists in PL Bellerin second with 4. Still some squad issues to sort out. I like Özil but for £300k a week I’d like to see who we could get in instead if he’s not even going to play.

I was just about to post whether anyone missed Özil today?

I did find myself wondering how the various phases of the game would have panned out with Özil on the pitch. No way of knowing I suppose but I was left with the feeling that we displayed an effective bloody mindedness that has been sporadic at best.

Lucky enough me and my son to be at the game today. The atmosphere was electric and the team gave everything. What a buzz.

Loved the celebration for our second and third goal as well, this obviously meant a lot to the players. Really looked like the squad realize what this derby means.

Well that was very enjoyable. I said a few weeks ago that the supporters are becoming increasingly energized by Emery's team, and today the support went up another level, clearly in response to this very spirited Arsenal team. Even in the dying stages of the match Arsenal were launching into tackles and busting a gut in 50/50 duels. And well done to Emery for making those substitutions at half time something that Wenger would never have done.

Go back and watch Aubameyang’s 2nd goal and look at two brilliant things. First the forward run from Ramsey in behind, turning spurs and forcing the forward pass and secondly and even better the pass from Bellerin is as good as anything you’ll see this weekend, 60 yards, bent perfectly around the defence and takes out half their team with one pass.

It was a sublime goal. Bellerin's pass, Ramsey's presence of mind, and Aubameyang ... what can you say?

Nice to see arsenal really go for the high press at the throat of spurs, the proof it worked is 3 of spurs back 4 having pass completion rates under 70%. 4 of Arsenal’s back 5 were over 88%.

Emery also preyed on spurs having played Chelsea and inter in the last week while we had the midweek rest for 10 of the starting 11. There was an energy and stamina that spurs could not match.

Every single player, without exception, played well. Leno blundered with Tottenham's first goal but otherwise did well. Man of the match for me was Torriera. Make no mistake, 4-2 didn't flatter Arsenal. Probably our performance of the season, considering the opposition as Tottenham are a good side and serious contenders for a top four place.

Tottenham have lost more points from winning positions in Premier League games against Arsenal than any side have against another in the competition’s history. 40 points!

Who was the one under 88%?

Man U midweek will be a very different game. Mourinho will not have a game that open. My fear as always away to a slightly wounded Man U is the game becomes overly physical and Arsenal players are left with open arms protesting at a very lenient ref. What we need to do is go full at them, take yellow cards if necessary there has to be a reaction to any physical intimidation even if it means not playing by the rule book

Today was the day the team found their mojo, never seen them try so hard, they all put in a shift, they really wanted it, was very impressed with Gendouzi he ran his socks of, as for the terrier absolutely majestic he didn't know when he was beaten, just new he would score.
Now to get a good result on Wednesday, were due a win up there, at least we won't have a manager up there sitting on his arse fiddling with his zip!

Ranieri talking up Chambers after today’s game v Chelsea. Chambers was used in central midfield. Hopefully the manager change and positional change helps chambers get a solid run in Fulham’s team because whilst I don’t think he’s got enough to make it at arsenal we should be looking to make some money from him when we sell him
