What the hell was Xhaka doing there? A stupid cross field pass to a crowded midfield.

Xhaka not tracking his runner properly, then very weak defending from White - gives them a lifeline they really should not have

If Lacazette wanted to redeem himself, now would be a good time.

I’m never a fan of taking off your best player; one who can control the game and stop it running away.

5 substitutions in the game, not a single point the pysio has had to come on and yet there are 5 minutes - that is the 4th official playing up for the home crowd for sure. If it was 3-1 instead of 3-2 it is 3 minutes added time

I think that he has to be on the pitch for it to work.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised at the extra time amount.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised at the extra time amount.

Especially now it’s 6 minutes and still going.

A bit more dramatic than it needed to be, but job done. Some excellent attacking football today, and not the best defensive display from us.

Sorry, I am not liking the South American-esque theatrics. Tierney especially.

3 points but Arteta needs to have a strong word with the team. Far to much complacency and slack defending. The 3 goals were good but there was also far more in that for the forwards and they should have put the game to bed as much as the defence should have kept them out

Shame about conceding the second, but we got it done. All about the points. Now come on City.

A wide range in individual performances today. Some reinforced their reputations and some left a bit to be desired.

For depth of attacking quality SR is huge miss, I know it was Covid today but a little concerning he’s out longer than expected. In the same vein, as well as Cédric has done, (he’s been ok) Tomiyasu had immense moments every other play he’s involved in. Can’t come back soon enough for me. If he plays the majority of the run in I’m a lot more confident of us staying the course.

I thought Ødegaard was out of this world today. The touch, the awareness, the weight of pass, it was just beautiful to watch. A worldclass performance.

Saka was amazing too.

Our goals and the quality of finishing were stunning.

I thought White and Gabriel were shaky, as was Ramsdale. Watford created far too many problems than was necessary, especially 2nd half.

I’d agree with all of that except the bit about White. I thought that he did well until the 87th minute goal.

I thought if we went on a run, we would not only be the team to beat for 4th but if we got lucky with a few results and Chelsea unlucky, we'd be chasing 3rd instead of 4th by seasons end. Do I think we'll catch Chelsea? No. But I think we can make them look over their shoulders.

8 points ahead and 2 games in hand on Wolves
3 points ahead and 3 games in hand on West Ham

Those 2 really shouldn't be able to finish above us now. I know we're in the box seat for 4th but take out those two teams and we shouldn't finish lower than 6th

And a scruffy one for City. Not complaining though.

2-1 City, De Bryune again. Great individual effort from Foden to create the chance.

Rather have City put the game to rest with a 3 or 4 goal gap but its a derby, not much chance of that.

It is remarkable just how many times recently games have been stopped for a medical emergency in the crowd. Until recently it just never seemed to happen. Did games play on regardless do you suppose?

At this rate he’ll have to sign a four year contract extension to do so.

Yes I know - It's a known issue with this forum software version.

https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtop ... p=13277269

They'll be a new version of the forum at a later date but for the time being, we'll have to live with this bug.

It only affects mobile users using vertical.

Asking for a desktop site or holding the phone horizontally fixes it I believe.

Hi Rog/Warrior,
Interesting as no problem with small print in posts on my phone vertically.

Man City showing us how to close out a game. 76% possession in the second half, 15-2 in shots, 6-0 in shots on goal.
