The final will probably go the same way. SA have learned that flair and creativity is just not their thing.

It might not. The Bocks know they cannot just pulverise the Chariot like they do to everyone else as England are too strong. They are going to have to vary it up if they want to get anywhere. They have the players in the backs to run at England but they have not used them to any great effect in recent games. I expect England to win that said.

There's an Arsenal game going on mate, just in case you weren't aware.

Guendozi and Tierney playing very well. I like the way Tierney moves forward and just sends the balls in. Guendozi is playing the much-needed long balls for our forwards to run to.

VAR penalty. Correctly (apparently) given against us.

Brainless defending yet again. Don’t dangle a leg against the one player who has won more penalties than any player in the league!!

It looked like a pen but then we’ve had at least 2 that should have been given but haven’t this season

It’s not a penalty either.

How is that any different to the one that Saw Saka booked the other week.

I'm also going for a narrow England win.

Meanwhile ... I wonder if the wheels will stay on the Arsenal today?

Good game but Palace are no mugs and we could easily draw or even lose this one.

I wish our midfield was more dynamic both with and without the ball. Opposing teams have far too much time on the ball.

Annoying to only be 1 ahead. Stupid defending to dangle a leg.

There is far more in this with our front 3, must be more clinical

Perhaps there’s been a change behind the scenes. None had been awarded until this weekend. But one was yesterday as well as this one today.

Makes sense though. Much better than the nonsense about hairline offsides.

Chambers too busy appealing for offside, twice, then we had 2 maybe 3 defenders up against zaha, just no need to dive in or give him the opportunity to throw himself over a leg. Our players defend inside the box as they do outside the box which is utterly atupid. With the way the game is now you just don’t try to make tackles in the box, you stay on your feet and jockey the player and move him away from goal

There’s been a definite change. Up until this week the directive was just go with the ref don’t over rule, suddenly it gets lots of criticism and you see 4 or 5 pens given by VAR this weekend alone. It’s much better but what about those teams who had valid pen claims in the first 9 weeks of the season!

One v one versus trickery and pace is Chambers's achilles heel as a RB. He's not nimble or quick enough on the turn.
