Good decision to do the substitutions. Hope the substitutes do well

Just ruthless. 5-0 lovely goal for Havertz.

Some TG inf is just clicking really nicely right now.

So much for us not scoring enough goals, scored more than City and have the 4th highest scorer in the league

Havertz scored a goal like he did at Leverkusen. A great sign.

It’s likely the prem will get 5 champions league spots next year. Bit of a shame really because neither spurs or Man U deserve to be in it and one or both probably will be.

The top 3 really are a long way ahead of the rest. There will be the odd upset result but just watching the games and the way the teams play were so far clear.

Tottenham losing is a good bonus. Now for Chelsea to complete the evening.

Not a single shot on target for Burnley today. So in the last 3 games that’s just 2 shots or target faced. Oh and we popped 14 goals in going the other way!

21 goals in our last 5, best gd in the league. We look like we’re determined to be here to stay in this title race.

Nice to be able to rest players too, in the last 3 games Saka has rested for nearly 60 of the 270 mins.

Chelsea fans are desperate for Havertz to fail, but I think what hurts them the most is that the Arsenal fans have really taken to him, we were patient with him and he’s rewarding us with some great performances in a team that’s miles ahead of Chelsea. Havertz made a superb decision

Newcastle game the player is offside on a set piece, but his shirt is pulled and a PK given. How can an offside player be awarded a penalty?

One of the most enjoyable games for a long time. Total dominance.

It's hard to single out anyone. Excellent to a man, and the entire midfield and Saka standing out, but I was particularly pleased with Martinelli's work. He was electric today and so positive.

That Jackson miss for Chelsea is where I talk about luck on xG conceded. It’s a great chance and there is little that City do to stop him scoring it’s all his own fault. It’s been the same with some Liverpool games, they should have conceded more than they have, partly Alison with some great saves but also opponents not punishing them as they should.

Right now we’re just not giving anyone any chances at all

For me yes. Apart from away fixtures v city and Liverpool I think this is our most logical 11. Leo is our 2nd top goal scorer and the way he swaps roles with Havertz is a real advantage. Jesus will have to play himself back in.

He actually had a bit of a bad day in front of goal but you always feel he has a goal in him which he obliged. Very good player

I love the goals that Ødegaard scored like today’s, I remember two similar ones away to spurs and away to Newcastle last season. If you get a clean shot away from 25 yards and hit it hard, low and accurate it stands a huge chance of scoring

I think if I could pick any player for a chance to fall to in the box Trossard might just be my first choice

Another trademark right foot finish high above the gk for Saka today.

I think for fans that don’t watch him regularly they’d say Saka is pretty one footed - I’ve had friends say this to me - the reality is he’s probably the most two footed and effective winger in the league

Yep. Burnley blokey assumed he cut inside onto his left - his ‘better’ foot. ‘Cos that what he does.

That worked well.

1-1. Good result.

City looked vulnerable on the break. They missed a hatful but perhaps more worryingly, Chelsea looked pretty good.

I think in the last 3 games we’ve gained 11 on Liverpool’s goal difference. The last 2 big wins have been 6 points but cutting and moving ahead of goal difference is like another point

Even the couple of missed chances (and the fresh-air shot) mean he's getting into the right position and putting in a great shift. We're not getting those sterile attacking displays when he's up front. The front 5 really looks a cohesive unit.

Watched thirty minutes at 4 am , went back to bed watching the rest now .

Got to thinking as he sprayed an effort wide ; it is a waste of time giving the ball to Trossard today because he seems just off the pace ; botched that one on one , has mishit / scuffed a few other efforts ....... then ten seconds later he scores :laughing7: .

Praise Allah Vishnu Thor , Jupiter , Zeus and God Chelsea grabbed Mudryk

Trossard has only played 230 minutes of the last 5 games, of a possible 540 minutes, and he’s got 4 goals and 1 assist. One of the best winter window signing a we’ve ever made

Especially pleased for Havertz .... under a lot of scrutiny ; plays a part without having a real telling influence , he signalled for that throw in to come his way and buried it ..... shows in spite of not having great success he isn't hiding .

Bit pissed with Arteta for subbing him immediately afterwards ; I'd have left him on to cement his confidence .

Seems baffling to me Mikel's mindset " Hmmm I've got to freshen things up "
:20hospitals: first cab off the rank it seems to be always Nketiah . I'd have thought it more beneficial to get Smith Rowe back to his pre injury form . Bring him on before Eddie

Usually with that many subs in a game like that, the other club gets more possession, you concede a goal or even 2. The one thing I liked was that we not only maintained but were still trying to get a goal. We stayed hungry.

Our game with Chelsea worries me. I was surprised how well they played against us. I thought we'd win that game. They are certainly inconsistent but at times Poch has them playing a strategic, organized 90 minutes. I saw it yesterday against City and from the first kick they were on us in our game.

We're going to have to come with the same energy we played Liverpool to win. We can get a draw but we are in a title race and wins are more precious now.

They won't though because they don't hold a grudge against them.

I don't hold grudges. My father used to though. I'll never forgive him for that.

Of Man U win today they are just 3 points behind spurs in what will likely be a champions league spot. If they win we’re going to have to listen to a week of Man U being praised more than we have at any stage this season

Havertz won 12 duels in that match, double any other player. I know you don’t spend £65m for a player to win duels (he does do a lot more than just that) but these are the things that will please Arteta and keep Havertz in the team.

Arteta has put a huge emphasis on winning duels in this team and it’s key to our success, it just hasn’t been properly analysed by any pundit properly yet to understand its importance.

Everyone wants recognition that is appropriate to what they’re doing. Of course we’re happy but the level at which we’re criticised and not given any credit compared to other teams is staggering.
Compare the level of praise spurs have had or the non criticism of Chelsea this year
