Maybe I'm being a bit too picky and not enjoying a good lead but Leeds had too many chances that would have been a goal were it City or Liverpool.

I'd like to see Kiwior get some minutes.

I don't think it follows. Leeds are no mugs, and we've tended to up our game against the top sides.

Ødegaard joins an impressive list of Arsenal players (Özil, Fabregas, Bergkamp, Henry..etc) who have great vision for a final ball.

9 cup finals to come

City game will be crucial. There’s going to be nothing in this and it will be excruciating. We’re all going to end up on medication

Great to see Jesus back on the scoresheet. Ordinary first half but much too good for them in the end.

9 to go

Huge for Jesus to get back amongst the goals. Great response to City winning earlier.

Huge game up next and a big selection dilemma for Arteta for who to leave out between Martinelli, Jesus, Saka and Trossard.

For me Trossard drops. Liverpool's defense is weak this season and Jesus' twinkle toes might be what we need .

Obviously not like-for-like, but Arteta's signing of Trossard strikes me as similar to when George brought in Brian Marwood. Experienced and knowledgeable types who can handle pressure and add a most important dimension to a team.

I am also really impressed by the way we are winning games when City have played ahead of us.

Does mudryk even fit the system chelsea play. I don’t think so.

It’s a back 3 with wing backs. Surely he’s your guy to hug the touchline

I’m sure Arteta knew exactly what he wanted to do with Mudryk when we were in for him. Chelsea seem to not have the slightest idea.

Incredibly bad decision on his part to go to Chelsea.

If you only took Trossard’s time at Arsenal this season there are only 5 players with more assists all season and 2 of them play for arsenal

Special mention to Ramsdale again today, being ready and alert to push away that shot after 6 seconds and also making a few more saves when Leeds were making the better chances.
He’s been quite good in that respect recently - but is probably easily forgotten because we go on to win the games comfortably

100% agree. He’d play wide left, and be told to stick to the touchline at all times with the knowledge that the quality in how we work the ball we’d get him 1v1 against his full back and he can make that an isolated game to take on and beat him. No doubt he’d be doing far better with us than he is with that shambles

I’ve watched the penalty again. Jesus is brilliant, he destroys 2 defenders easily and no doubt he sees the opportunity to win a penalty and makes sure the way he does it means he will win it.

It’s a strange thing but he has that ability. Some other Arsenal players don’t have this yet. Plenty of City players have it.

Trossard and Jesus in the box, just brilliant- quick feet, intelligent, stop-start movements.

Amazing stat on MOTD - Liverpool have conceded the second highest big chances per game of any team in the league

There’s something around that transfer that makes me think this wasn’t completely his decision to go there

Kudos to the team to get those 3 points. The way we started was worrisome and City fans must have been hoping for Leeds to do an "Everton".
Jesus made the difference for us when we needed it.

Onwards to Anfield now. Another win would be fantastic!

Of the 3 toughest games I consider outside City, Liverpool away for me is going to be the toughest (Toon, Chelsea being the other). There is an argument for Newcastle away being the tougher. Have they lost at home? I don't know but if so, can't be more than a game, two at most.

Newcastle have a far better structured defense so would be harder to breakdown perhaps but Liverpool has goal scorers. Out of form as a collective to some extent but they'll be up for us. We need a win. We can't draw. It's wins from here on in with City away being the exception, needed. I can't see it happening. It's what 7 on the trot?

I'm more thinking like soc. I don't think we are the favorites considering City's present form, the amount of games we have left and having to travel to City. Jesus back changes a lot, but not enough. Holding vs that Liverpool forward line is very worrying.

Jesus and Saka are a given at Anfield, but would you start Martinelli over Trossard or visa versa?

My view is Trossard to start and Martinelli to run at them after an hour.

I’d probably go the opposite. I think Martinelli up against Trent, even though Trossard has scored a hat trick at Anfield already this season

I jokingly say, maybe Arsenal should have used the American way of building a stadium without really having to pay for it.

Great win again yesterday.

Still think we are conceding too many big chances against mediocre teams and at some point that may come back to bite us on the bum.

Leeds could have been 2 up early in the game and that would have been tough to come back from and win.

I think one of the issues is that Zinchenko is something of a double-edged sword, superb in the inverted role giving us that extra man in midfield but at the same time vacating the LB space leaving us wide open to counter-attacks down that side.

Maybe Tierney has to come in at LB in some games to give us better defensive stability, especially if Saliba remains out.

We’ve scored 17 goals in the 15 minutes after half time. City are also strong in this period with 15 goals. No one else in the league comes close

This seems to be more of a problem at home, because generally in our away games we very tight even when Zinchenko plays.
