I think Edu is doing a good job. I'm just curious how he got the job. Skill or just a position made for an 'old boy' he grew into?

So I posted before the season and after the first goal of the season that Palace and Leicester had the worst records at defending set pieces last season. we've scored a set piece against them both!

Whatever Jover has done with our set pieces he's doing brilliantly

Really difficult not to be overly optimistic...but I'll try to manage my expectations.

Here we go. :20hospitals:

Or not!!!

Yippee.

(Last season that would have been a penalty and a red card).

Bad decision by Ramsdale there. Even if we get away with it.

Mike Dean on the VAR? Uh oh. Vardy did what strikers do, make a meal in the box. The ball was going way out of reach.

Phew. We’ve been absolutely outstanding but that could be a valuable warning that it’s not over yet.

Penalty given, penalty overturned. Vardy engineer's the contact for the penalty.

If the ref gets told to go to the monitor the decision always changes.

So, why is it not a yellow card to Vardy for simulation?

Probably not a card because there was contact.

What an excellent 45 minutes. Some of our football has been beautiful to watch. And now we have considerably more cutting edge. :53big-emoticons:

Probably not a card because there was contact.

But it is simulation, surely:
"attempts to deceive the referee by feigning injury or pretending to have been fouled (simulation)"

Yes, he was trying to win the pen for sure. But I’d have been unhappy if one of our players had been carded for that.

Xhaka was carded for diving last week, not even to win a penalty.

Howler from Leicester. Xhaka making forward runs all day.
Right, we gave them a sniff, extinguished it - don't give them another
