That said I love the retro shirts.

The Merch stand has a centenary yellow shirt from the 80s that I see when I leave the ground. Not a fan of wearing colours but I may have to splurge

When my boys were much younger they just loved the cheap black T shirts for sale on Gillespie Road. Stuff like The Flying Dutchman etc.

You could get a lot of those for the cost of the upcoming home shirt.

Perhaps the signing of Jesus is going to be more complicated than some people may have thought? The Metro says Arsenal may consider alternatives in light of City’s £55m asking price.

Doesn’t strike me as the transformational midfielder we need

If he came alongside another tier 1 midfield baller to add variety. Fine

On his own would be a bit meh

In a swap for Gabriel… well I’d be positively livid. *%^@ that regime change etc etc

How bizarre
Villa and Burnley played each other 12 days ago.
Now they are playing their 2nd league game tonight.
Has that ever happened that 2 teams have played both their fixtures against each other so close together in the same month???
Anyone know why?
It's not like any of them have been involved in Europe or gone that far in Cup competitions.

I sit in 133. Wonder if we’ve seen each other without knowing?

Likely , although my arrival time is varied.

If I think about it I’ve probably met a few Forumites down the years without knowing. Been to European finals, away games, home games I’ve even been to after speaking events. Bit weird really

Must admit I really like the home shirt. But why would it be £100? That can’t be right.

It's only last season (I think) that a standard fan equivalent shirt was abouit £65, and a 'matchday' shirt, apparently 'as worn by the players' was the one that was £100.

Still, I guess we all want better players and we have (somehow) to pay for that.

Hi Gunfire,
Second kit looks more black with bronze lettering. So no blue/gold then. Not sure about that collar on the home kit, but whatever.

You're not wrong about Scouse the food - it's great. (As long as it's made with lamb and not beef as some heathens claim). Btw, it's actually a Welsh recipe (although the Vikings a la Hazuki make some random claim to it as well), and Liverpool is as much (if not more) a Welsh city as an Irish one.

I'm in Liverpool, and it's funny watching both sides at the moment. My other half's family is mainly Red, with a few Blues so matchdays are quite entertaining.

The idea though that Everton will be up for it at our place is laughable; they've been rubbish all year and the appointment of fat Frank was a joke.

Why do our players never get linked to moves away with absolutely enormous fees attached to them. Ake went for £40m. Obviously someone writing the report or leaking a story just puts a figure on it but why isn’t the figure £70m. If you don’t want to sell a player and he’s on a long contract, young and pretty good hen the price should be huge.

Maddison has quietly had a good season. Scored again tonight. 16 goals and 11 assists across all comps this season. He’s a 1 in 3 goals from midfield this season.
We were linked last year for £60-70m and went for Ødegaard for £30m. No problem with that, but there could possibly be space for both of them at the club. The price would need to come down a bit though!

100 percent lamb !

Has to have the red cabbage and some crusty bread though.

47 goals conceded this season. In the 10 games against the big 5 teams we conceded 25 goals. So in 27 games against the bottom 14 teams in the league we conceded 22 goals. Clear to see where the improvement is required defensively. We need to be far more resilient in those big 6 games and work out a way to get more draws from those games. Draws in big 6 games are valuable as they keep everyone close. We probably played well in just 4 of them, the 3 we won and City at home.

No. I'm secretly pleased as I prefer the Evertonians to the red ones. (But don't tell the missus).

The home kit is nice, except the collar looks odd. Saw it was £100 which is crazy. But, then may be less online depending what sports site offers it.

There was a report that Arsenal have put a 42 million pound fee on Gabriel. Do you think maybe we are selling him. I wonder if he has asked for a move or has a clause in his contract about when he can ask for a move.
