I was reading earlier today that when we were trying to buy Zaha, but ended up getting Pépé, Saka had been offered as a makeweight in the deal.

Absolutely needed that because this game was becoming a bit too much like an even contest for my liking.

Time to push on and get a 3rd before half time to kill it

Not necessarily. I seem to recall us losing a two goal halftime lead away at Watford not that long ago. A September I think.

Saka's not half bad, is he?

Standout players for us so far are Ødegaard, Saka and Lacazette. Lacazette is looking really good.

That would have been bonkers. Best academy player since Ashley Cole

I want to adopt him.

Watford don't press high and they don't defend deep. Our quality really should tell today and our biggest challenge will be our own complacency or inability to properly assert ourselves on Watford

Martinelli is struggling. Feels like a game more for Pépé

We seem to get given an 'advantage' by the ref after someone fouls our players so often. I'm not always convinced the playing on is an actual advantage. And of course none of these fouls are included in the refs totting up process for yellow cards

The only real joy Watford have had has come down our left.

Whoever almost did that probably wakes up screaming at 3 in the morning, and then realises that the nightmare isn't real and they actually didn't sell him.

Was thinking before the game that Pépé deserved a start after his sub appearence vs Wolves. Martinelli has been good overall in recent months, but I don't think he's at the level yet where he's a nailed on starter no matter what form he's in.

Doesn’t seem in tune with the game.

He will probably score now I’ve said that

Had a good shooting opportunity ten seconds after I posted that

Got better as the half progressed. Two lovely goals. Saka is different class.

If we can get 3 points today it would be a superb result. Massive boost for top 4

Good job I wasn’t losing an argument with you then. To be honest, I wish I’d used a different term to creepy. A bit sickening or rather stomach churning might have been a better way to describe my feelings towards holier than thou morality.

Anything other than 3 points will be a major disappointment. Watford are going down and we should beat them.

Hmm. Ramsdale getting away with a few today. Let’s hope that he stays lucky.

You could see it happening all in slow motion build up.

Remains to be seen but the pundit on my feed said Cristiano isn't starting in the Manchester derby and he's fit to play.

There’s an Arsenal match on right now.

Saka - Ødegaard - Lacazette - Martinelli. Whoosh.

Excellent flick from Ødegaard, excellent lay-off by Lacazette, excellent finish. Also props to Saka and Cédric for anticipating the situation and going for the quick throw-in

Let the official record show: assist Lacazette (and Arteta :58big-emoticons: )
