Yo Bern - this from the rules:

"All matches that end as a draw in the first five rounds will go straight to penalties without the use of extra time."

This is Round 4 apparently so straight to pens. It's live on SKY.

Arsenal: Leno, Cédric, Holding, White, Kolasinac, Maitland-Niles, Elneny, Pépé, Smith Rowe, Martinelli, Nketiah

Subs: Ramsdale, Tavares, Chambers, Lokonga, Partey, Saka, Salah-Eddine, Lacazette, Balogun

Interesting line up… Not sure I fancy it.

So, basically a second string eleven plus White and Smith-Rowe tonight. Leeds are missing a few players as well, but are a lot closer to their first choice eleven. This one might be a bit tricky. But, one thing about Leeds even if they're playing with a complete first choice lineup is that they'll leave themselves exposed at the back. We need to show the same energy and work rate as we did against Villa, Leeds won't sit back and let the game just come to them.

Don’t like the line up but I’m not sure what other choices you have really. You have to rotate at some point.

Philips up againest AMN and elneny feels a mismatch a bit and I’d have been tempted to start Lacazette for the first 60 rather than go with Nketiah.

Really need Pépé and Martinelli to step up to the plate for this but I don’t think this will be a easy game.

Where’s Ødegaard ?

Only two possible chances of a trophy this season. This is one of them. A reserve side makes me nervous.

You really notice how uncomfortable Leno looks with the ball at his feet after watching weeks of Ramsdale

Need a bit of quality in the final third to go with the energy.

Our central midfield is an obvious weakness tonight, can't seem to hold onto the ball or find the right pass

Looks to me like Emile Smith Rowe needs a rest, he looks shattered.

Elneny not at the races. It’s like having ten men.

Lots of effort from both sides, but not a great deal of quality from either.

Not much mention of the fact that Ronaldo should have been sent off in yesterday's game for a petulant kick out at Curtis when he lay on the floor. For every last minute winner Ronaldo brings I think his signing is doing more damage than good, there are the obvious wages but also you're playing with 10 men when you don't have the ball and he is definitely not a team player ready to encourage others after a mistake. Long may it continue for him.

In the reports I've read it is mentioned a lot. The beeb telegraph and guardian all mention it.

Counting down the minutes until Partey and Lacazette come on.

Honestly, I'm encouraged by this first half. We lack quality, but that's to be expected with our second string. But the energy, intensity and work rate is all there, and the fact that we follow up the Villa game with a first half like this after changing almost our entire starting eleven may just be a sign that something is starting to click for the team.

He’s not being helped by having to chase misplaced passes.

Don't like the tactic of the centrebacks driving into midfield. That naturally causes the two central midfielders to funnel in behind to cover. Also, it makes it harder for Smith-Rowe as passing channels to him are cut-off.

Leeds always leave gaps at the back so early direct passing is the way to play them.

They are easy targets the Elneny, Cédric and Kolasinac are the weakest links here.
I found it so frustrating how 3 of Leeds most dangerous moments came from our corners where they were allowed to pick the 2nd ball up on their own box and break. Twice with an almost identical move sending James away. We don’t have that man on the edge of our box to pick things up and we don’t have him there for attacking set pieces. I’d be amazed if that exact position isn’t one of the most common places for a ball to drop from a corner.

Feels like if we brought on Tavares, Partey and Lacazette and we’d win this

Somebody has to do something. If you are waiting for elneny and soares to play a killer pass you will be waiting a long time.

Of course, baldie Bouldy. I was thinking way back, Terry Mancini.
