Saka, Smith-Rowe, Lacazette, hoping Martinelli gets some service again. I like how we're starting. Really hoping Martinelli and Lacazette score.

Pity that Martinelli didn’t leave that for Ceballos. Instinctive I guess.

Hi Hodd,

What have you heard about the current thinking on Saliba and Martinelli?

Obviously, Saliba's on loan (and doing very well) whilst Martinelli hasn't featured much. Was the hype surrounding Martinelli a little over the top?

No it wasn't. :icon_mrgreen1:

Ah. A goal. Just when the game was drifting.

Or not. VAR caught us out. A hairs breadth.

Don't forget what happened when we had a tight decision last time

Did Ceballos get emotional there in the celebration? I think he was a bit overcome. He’s an emotional guy he celebrates like crazy when someone else scores. Suggests he’s found it quite tough and it’s poured out when he’s scored maybe. Gutted for him that was chalked off.

I'd give that a big toe offside. But either way pretty straight forward. Not like it was a bad resolution shoulder lean vs a toe. Do I like it...no. but if it was against us I'd be saying offside fair reault

He's worked his guts out in 1st half. Chasing all over the pitch to create urgency and he doesn't normally demonstrate the stamina for that. I reckon he likes London and wants to stay but knows he's competing with Ødegaard and whoever else is seen in the summer.

If you cant see an offside without zooming in and using computer generated cross hairs then it all seems a bit ridiculous

Can't argue with the decision but I'm still of the belief that somewhere in thes lines are decisions waiting to be proved wrong for example in a split second the ball can move, how far? SAhould we ask Hodd?

Thought we lost our way after Ceballos tried pushing too far forward and stopped being available to link. Fulham changed tactics a bit but we started to fail to make triangles. Not bothering to stay up and watch the rest. Catch the second half tomorrow morning.

It’s debatable but for the sake of argument. A toe.

Offside is there to stop an attacker gaining an unfair advantage. How on Earth is a toe an advantage.

Bin VAR, *%^@*** disgrace and hugely unfair on ceballos

But it is still offside.

We should reserve complaints for the ones that are actually incorrect.

Yes, but having to deal with dictatorial oppression within their respective countries in Africa, Latin America, depending which ones they are. Then coming to play in Europe, UK, being subjected to racism is a bit much. Same applies to black players born in Europe, Demba Ba, recently, though born-raised in France, was subjected to racism recently.

Racism is as big in english speaking countries as any other. I'm of a pale pink complexion and have experienced racism in India. The main difference is that it is more aggressive and obvious in our so-called educated white societies.

Ceballos again busting a gut to get forward despite not being the fastest. Maybe he knows he has only 60 mins to run but good spirit.

But what's the alternative. Is it he's only offside if a leg in front? 20%? . We'd be here till Christmas waiting for them to figure that out.
At least offsides are mostly black and white.

The one that really needs work are handballs and penalty 'contact'

Racism is far far less of a problem in English speaking countries than people think. Believe him I have in Easten Europe you'll see the difference.

His shoulder was offside and that’s a dive anyway.

VAR has over engineered football. Encourages cheating and open to abuse

If our goal was chalked off for such small margin, why is that not offside?
