John Lukic really really wasn't a pretty weak keeper. Did you actually see him play? Not a sarcastic question, you might just be young.

I was referring to George Wood. Lukic was very good.

And thanks for the compliment :icon_mrgreen1:

I thought you might have been actually but if you look at the post you quoted it wasn't the Wood one.

I think Furnell was a Burnley boy...we'd need Hoy to verify that but he's obviously at church PRAYING for a City victory tonight so he can come and taunt the less faithful...

Annoyingly I'm being dragged to watch First Aid Kit which I don't want to do because weather and weather and weather.

Ah. I see what I did. I quoted the wrong post. Bernard mentioned George Wood but I picked up a different post of his. I am on my phone and not wearing my specs (I'm not that young :icon_sad1: )

Stoke tickets gone to general sale.

Can't give em away at the moment. Only way we could make them less attractive would be to stick Wengers face on every ticket, the loopy selfish bellend that he is

He was absolutely abysmal but hardly ever played. To get in my 'worst ever' team a player would have to have had a reasonable number of appearances.

One could imagine a 'damage index', calculated as NxC, where N is number of games and C is intensity of crapness (inverse of usual player rating). Stepanovs was like an attack of acute menigitis or being bitten by a mamba (stratospheric C but mercifully low N) whereas Almunia became like something fouling the water. Really not great multiplied by 175 games :icon_sad1:

And again we left the winger free. Too much space and time for them.

Sane is doing for us, what Özil and Ramsey used to do. Özil hardly impacts games anymore. Ramsey tries, but no longer have it. Receding as a team. Wenger out!

Always too easy to play against. Teams with half our ability make things far harder for city.
Barca and Bayern players have said they used to love drawing us because they would enjoy the game because they know we would let them play.
Basically if you are a better team than us and you play near or close to tour potential you will win

No, cause it is 0-3 now. They run through us so easily. And yet we huff and puff to get to their penalty area.

Xhaka's modus operandi is to look for players to pass to, and he almost always look backwards. What a waste of space. Slows us down all the time.

The players don’t want to play for this manager
The fans desperately want the manager gone
Most of the board want the manager gone

There have only really been 2 people who want this manager....out of the millions associated or supporting arsenal.

This season needs to get more and more poisonous, this is perfect for people who want change because this pathetic display is the only game of note on tonight, streamed all around the world. No hiding place- or there shouldn’t be.

Hope the fans who have turned up don’t just give it the boos, constant chanting required as well

There was a time when we used to rip teams apart like this.

It's sad to see how far we have slipped-OK, City are the dominant team at present but the booing is justified. Can't blame Chambers or Holding this time - this is our first team out there getting stuffed! I'm still hoping for a miracle, 3-3 final score :1laughter:

Be fair. City's goals were brilliant. This is what we used to do to teams when we had Pires, Bergkamp and Henry. This is a brilliant team and we are an average side.

Wenger should have gone after the hull cup win. Look at the list of first team signings since that day and decide how many could be described as a good signing
14-15
Sanchez
Chambers
Welbeck
Gabriel
Ospina
Debuchy

15-16
Čech
Elneny

16-17
Xhaka
Mustafi
Perez
Holding

17-18
Lacazette
Kolasinac
Mkhitaryan
Aubameyang

The last 2 we haven’t seen enough. But that is only 14 other players in 8 transfer windows, and I can make a case for 1 being a genuine success (Sanchez)

You just knew that it didn’t matter who took that penalty we would miss it. I’ve never seen a team so devoid of confidence all round

So we finally get a penalty and somehow we still don't score!

Forget the snow and that it’s Thursday night, take one look at the crowd and the amount of fans who simply don’t want to turn up and watch this rubbish and that should be the trigger alone to sack the manager

We’ve played 9 of our 10 big games against the top 5 so far this season. Man U away to come. We have only really turned up for 1 of them, spurs at home.
We really should have lost at home to Chelsea and we should have lost at home to Liverpool - 2-0 down and we had a 15 minute purple patch but Liverpool dominated us.

Even for our shocking ability in big games that is a new low

He stayed for the Power (and the money) he has at this club. He would have been sacked in double quick time, had he left for the bigger clubs.
