The KT loan is *%^@*** pointless as even if they pay a fee and his wages they won’t sign him permanently and neither will he want to go there after a season. Then they will bring in some Spaniard at half the price and the process starts again. Even madder is we will probably be missing a more natural left back in a few weeks or months.

The reason we can’t sell these players is they are totally ostracised from the first team even from making sub appearances so other teams wonder why. No way is KT not good enough to start for West Ham or a team like Brentford. He would be their star player. *%^@*** hell West Ham think mark Noble is a genius.

Balogun sold to balance the books but if we sell big gab too then really a good transfer window that was promising drops to below average

Man management is his greatest weakness at the moment.

It’s not man management

It’s an absolutely rigid deployment of the tactics defensively the only variation or deviation from it is which full back inverts. Seems un pragmatic and I find it odd when he talks about unpredictability being important we won’t deviate from playing 1 way at all now it seems.

He just doesn’t want the fullbacks doing stuff like this …

No idea what's going on with this one. A loan that seems to benefit the player and Real Sociedad but does little for us other than a small loan fee and getting his wages off the books for a year.

I suppose if he has a storming season his market value could rise substantially but I'm not even sure his all-action style is really suited to Spanish football. He could be a revelation or he could also be a bit of a misfit.

You'd have thought he'd be a prime target for any ambitious PL club, given he can also fill-in at CB if needed.

On the downside we now have no natural LB and no money from a sale for reinvestment.

Amazingly and I never realized till I was looking up stats after watching some videos, but the last FA cup final we lost was Liverpool in 2001 (we should have won that one) and before that the '80 loss to West Ham which I am not sure how we managed to lose that one.

..and how did Wimbledon manage to beat Liverpool in '88 when Liverpool were world beaters?

Sad about Tierney.
There was a point under Arteta when he was more or less indispensable and being touted as a future captain.
I really hope Arteta is not getting so consumed by this inverted fullback role...
So much so that a quality left back in Tierney is now surplis to requirements.
The guy is quality. Bit injury prone but quality.
Astounded no premier league teams came in for him.
That you tube clip dropped by TG showing him score that pearler v west brom is Tierney at his best.
Surely there must be room for an inverted full back and a more natural one???

Balogun to Monaco is all but done. €40m with add ins included and we retain a significant sell on clause.

I expect the all on clause has led to a slightly lower fee than fans would have hoped for. If the sell on clause never materialises in to anything decent then we’ve got a good deal on the original sale, if we get buckets of money in a sel on that’s good but also shows that he was probably god enough to be worth retaining

I am not sure I understand why he was not sold to another EPL club where the fee would have been much higher. Arteta has reached a decision he is not good enough then he should have the courage to back his own decision. This is some type of cover my arse decision. He cant afford for him to be a success in the EPL otherwise egg on his face. We should be taking every pound we can make. Besides if he's no good it weakens our competitors.

Hadn't realized cups in Europe were as rigged back then as I'm reading and watching videos. Shocking.
Leeds cheated out of a cup twice in 2 years is crazy.

Bought the new 3rd kit which I’ll be sporting today. First one I’ve bought in years. Rather like the retro green.

Stroll today. Would be nice to see big gab back. Hope Trossard gets some decent minutes. Up the gunners

At least you have a public transport system. Here we have minibus taxi mafias and potholes.

You have sunk to the bottom of first division but there are many circles of transport hell that are worse than the UK.

Not a good thing at all. Are we going to wait until he is completely knackered and then see if someone like Nelson is good enough? Surely Fulham at home is a good opportunity? Otherwise you can bet we'll have an injury crisis during on of our tough runs of games.

There’s a good in-depth article in this morning’s Grauniad - should be easy to find. He come across as an impossibly - amazingly - genuine character.

Never thought I’d say this about a star footballer but he is a really nice young man.

Good Godman are you really so ignorant?

Blame the Conservatives for the mess British Rail is in but tell the truth about who run transport in the Cities.

Labour runTFL and most cities in the UK are also rubby them.

The only exception can think of is Birmingham and I believe they have a very well run Conservative city.

anyways just arrived early (no traffic problems) and intend on enjoying a substantial italian lunch followed by sun, fun, plenty of beer and an Arsenal victory,

enjoying wallowing in your self imposed misery :14laughter:

Good goal for Spurs. Madison's movement is top notch.

My wallet-based STs wouldn’t work. Took 5 attempts with different staff, none of whom had a scooby. Best advice seemed to be “keep trying”.

System just doesn’t work.

Kiwior the latest to play at LB
Trossard up front (or maybe Havertz?)
Jesus and Zinny on a Stacked bench

Would love Havertz to get his first goal today jut to get it done

These poor starts keep happening at home. Rarely away. It’s not a coincidence it’s over confidence and casualness in games we believe we should win easily

Inability to keep clean sheets at home will once again be the undoing.

Best away record in the league last year. Solid again in our first game this year but sloppy twice already in both home games

This annoying habit of gifting teams an early goal at home continues into this season and it has to stop.
Bournemouth and Southampton last Season and now Fulham today.
So *%^@*** annoying and has us unnecessarily chasing the game already.
Ramsdale should be saving that

So obviously the Fulham player only gets a talking to for time wasting when everyone else is getting yellows under the new directive. You just knew that that rule would not be forcefully enforced at the Emirates when teams waste time v us

Does feel that way tbh. I do think timber being available would have made this totally different.
