Given to Aubameyang? Confusion. Think he was onside when it came back to him?

I don’t think that Pépé managed to get the ball over the line. It needed Aubameyang.

Yeah, after watching the replay is a good goal. Aubameyang was behind the ball when it was deflected to him.

Gifted an opportunity there, Smith-Rowe and Ødegaard needed to do better

At times we look so comfortable just need a touch of luck and the ball to bounce for us and we'll be away......

I'll take 1-0 for now, please.

Pépé for me. He disappears occasionally, but when you summarize a game so much of our attack comes through him. He makes things happen

Good sub appearance from Smith-Rowe, buzzing around the place and getting involved in a number of good chances. Making a case for why he should be starting.

I didn't expect a huge amount of goals. The game played out as I thought it would. A bit scrappy and the relief of a win is all that mattered.

We build on this and hopefully eek out a result in the NLD.

Get the $%^&* in Reds! :26encouragement:
Takes a bit of the heat off temporarily. Spurs win needed.

Pretty good as 1-0s go. A lot to build on there.

A lot of positives from today.
Tomiyasu looks solid
Aubameyang gets a goal and may he continue to get more
AMN did ok today
Ramsdale talks to his defenders
Lokonga looks good
Lots more shots on goal
A clean sheet
3 points
And all round confidence from the team

Quote:
That Arsenal goal starts with Partey whipping the ball into Saka's feet. Took out the Norwich midfield with one pass. No assist, not even the pre-assist, but that's where it begins

Arsenal had an xG (expected goals) of 2.7 today. Which is pretty high, when teams hammer the opposition their xG is usually a lot lower than their goals scored ie: they took the chances others wouldn't.

Today the chances we created were good chances and an 'average level of finishing' would have had us scoring 2.7 goals.
